People keep saying this.  How many times in the past have we lamented that new players have not had time to settle in?

We will have played 5 games by the time the window closes.  Then how long for new players to properly bed in?  Realistically, we could be looking at a third or half the season before the team is settled.

The thing is, what's happening is what Dr Tony said would happen. We've brought some players in, we're now in the process of letting some go and then we'll bring in some more. It makes absolute sense to me and like I said elsewhere, we can't force players out the door and there's a wage bill to think of.

As for calling people big girls blouses, I apologise. I actually meant big girl's bra's.

I just don't get why people are panicking just yet that's all. Yes, there's 5 games in August but it's not as if we're definitely going to be bringing in players on the last day. It might happen next week, or the week after, we don't know. The most important thing is that they're the right one's. In an ideal world, we would have them all in by now, but sometimes for whatever reason, that can't always happen.

Disagreeing with you isn't jumping down your throat, you're talking as if we're completely fucked and are looking down the barrel of 5 defeats in August because we aren't throwing money around and sacking players who we don't want.  When people try to get you to be a bit more realistic in your expectations you just get angry at which point the 'wetting yourself'/'Big girls bra' comments come out because you've shown that rational argument isn't going to work.

Put simply the owner and manager have been very clear that after the first few signings we were going to need to get some people out because the squad is too big and then more signings would come (and Xia even gave the positions we were looking to fill).  Nothing of that has been proven untrue but your questioning the integrity of the owner because it hasn't all been completed yet, most of us are willing to be more patient.

It's also important to note that our immediate competition is hardly lashing the cash about. Newcastle we know are going to up there and Norwich I have no doubt will be challenging. But the great majority of our competition are hardly flush with talent or resources and I reject the notion that we are simply going to pick up from where we left off last season with Black "in charge".
