Nice to have ambition but I think the three important bits for me are;

1) a realisation that we can only achieve something with the right expertise. Having a CEO in Wyness who has worked and done well in the game before is a good start.

2) that he's willing to invest to make things happen

3) that we have had a positive response from the players we wish to keep. I'm hoping this is Ayew, Amavi, Traore, Grealish etc.

Maybe with any luck Ayew and Amavi will look at the bigger picture and now decide to stay. They are still young and have plenty to learn. I suppose it will all depend if they listen to the whispers in their ear form their greedy agents.

He said in somewhere today that RDM had spoken to all the players he wanted to keep, and they were all positive (wanted to stay?).

If he is 39 and has built what he has, then he knows a thing or two (yet to learn styling).

I am giving him thumbs-up - so lets hope he makes us great again.

Also that he was in talks of buying TV rights for the Championship games in China - shows that he is thinking big.

The parachute money stays in the club.  The purchase price is £76m which is the assets of the club plus the payoff of the small matter of a £24m overdraft. I genuinely wonder how far we were from Administration had Randy stayed but not continued to fund it.
Thanks for this-missed the reply earlier. You might see why I asked as the club is solely owned-therefore it goes to one owner or the other.

Pleased that he seems happy to face the press and fans, unlike Lerner, but won't be overbearing like Doug.

Clearly the three of them recognise the issues at the club.  Bringing a feel good factor back, more professionalism and more  open with us and the press.

I'm presuming that Steve Hollis has now gone, plus Krulak?

I think we can be allowed to dream again.

Maybe a link up with Beckham for his MLS franchise...

Miami Villa has a nice ring to it

Weird you say that, I've always thought that deals has great synergy; football wise, financially and simply because of the name.

I wouldn't want that preening clothes horse anywhere near our club.

Beckham? Despite the fact he played for ManU I actually have a fair amount of time for the man. The amount of effort he put into supporting the England bids won me over.

Not sure it took effort, Ciggies, he was hired to be the face of the campaign, to be photographed relentlessly, go on exotic junkets and generally to be the centre of attention. In short, all the things he likes best. If only we'd won the bid he'd have been knighted, which would have been terrific for the brand. Imagine how much more loungewear he could sell if it had "Sir" embroidered on it...

Indeed. Beckham would endorse dog shit if he was offered enough money.
