So in summary:

Owner is named as being a Chinese Business man of some repute although no real evidence of his wealth

Our Chairman (a respected high ranking finance guy) says "Exciting times ahead"

Some of us go into meltdown at lack of information (me too)

Owner states that he 100% expects to pass the F&P Directors test - and he does

A very promising new Manager is appointed, closely followed by an even better backroom team

Deal is suggested to be announced as completed w/c 13th June - which it was

I think maybe its time to see that everything Dr X / Hollis et al has said has been right on the money so lets let them get on with it

We go again!  ;)

Proceed with caution. The more games we win, the more promising it all becomes. If we go up at the first attempt, we'll know it's working out, because to turn this mess around will take incredible organisation, togetherness and hard work.

I may have missed it in thread, so apologies if I'm repeating old news, but the fact Sir Brian has stepped down as Jersey manager today bodes well for the club.

If he's staying with us, it must mean he is happy with developments, but it will also be like having a guardian angel watching over the new regime.
I know exactly what you mean, lets hope so.
id be really happy if little stayed on the board, but my enthusiasm will be tempered by how much clout he has around the table. If he's listened too and they implement his recommendations, then great. But if he's just been brought in as a sop to the fans and has no influence, then that won't work and he'd probably fuck off pretty quickly under those circumstances. I know I would if I was him. Let's give them all a chance though eh?

Pretty crap scarf stretching IMO

EDIT - Also shows shoes

Frank Sidebottom was a weird choice, but now he's here, I'm fully behind the man.

How wide is that scarf ?

Maybe they were hoping to hide his shoes with it.

I'm very pleased with Di Matteo's shoes. They look like an expensive pair of Italian hand mades, and they go nicely with his suit, which is cut well and I would suspect is from Milan or Saville Row. Dr Xia on the other hand, is wearing shitty shoes, the shitty shoed bastard, and has a suit that looks like it's from Ted Baker, as they tend to go for the fake pocket square and lapel badge combo.  His tie also isn't pushed all the way up, and he's sporting an Hermes belt which is a style no-no in the business world.

Based on these fashion faux pas, I'n going to say that he's a wrong un and we're going to hell in a hand cart.

Sir Brian will always have the love of Villa fans but I agree with Risso, this should be about getting the right people in the right positions, regardless of what connection they have with Villa, I think it maybe best if he is some sort of ambassador and a communicator for the club.
I would also like to hear something from Mr. King as to his thoughts on the new owner and board, his silence is a wee bit worrying.

Looked up Mervyn King on Twitter and apparently he is also silent on the EU referendum question which has allowed Nigel Farage to imply he supports Brexit. When he has been speaking lately he's been making dire predictions for the future of the world economy which isn't good news for anyone.

In the shot where he is pointing at the North stand, I have it on great authority that he is saying "and that pile of shit has got to go, it will replaced with a proper stand to match the Holte End and will incorporate conference facilities and hotel for use when I develop the surrounding area."

Might be nothing but I noticed on the video that they were looking at the North Stand whilst the Dr was pointing at it....wonder if a redevelopment of it is in the offing?

As a midget myself, I can sympathise with the old "stupidly long sleeves hiding your hands" predicament.

But he must really be a tight bastard if he isn't prepared to splash out on a tailored suit.

He's not been silent on it, he's just not advocated a position.

"Now, that isn’t to say there aren’t big issues about membership of the European Union. There are. But I think the idea that somehow it’s either going to be bliss if we leave or a complete disaster if we leave is a gross exaggeration."

He has however been saying the collapse of the Euro is inevitable.

Di Matteo: "There's a new owner coming in and he has ambitious plans - exciting plans. I think that really rocked my boat."

And there was me worried it might all be a shipwreck waiting to happen.

yeah they did seem a bit to interested in the north stand, "lets get it right on the pitch" then think about redevelopment of the ground.
