There's no evidence as of yet that I've seen to suggest Xia, and people posting things continually about Reading every three or four pages is not evidence as to his credentials and finance, is anything but what he says he is.

I haven't seen anybody mention Reading to discredit Xia's credentials and finance other than question the company he keeps which is fully understandable given Samuelson's history.

Then you've missed the insinuation that Samuelson is involved because he's provided all the funds and Xia is his front man, it's been hinted at a few times in the last few days.

I guess you are referring to me. I would say it is perfectly reasonable to question why Samuelson is involved in this deal at all. He is supposedly someone who manages off shore accounts, he is not a football person. So what is he doing at Villa Park?

According to Samuelson and Banfill's company SocFin Group website, they have quite a lot to do with football and sports in general.  Websites do not prove anything though.

I honestly wasn't referring to anyone in particular, there are a few people who have decided that Samuelson's involvement means we're utterly fucked without really knowing why they think it or having any evidence to go on.

That's the point, no one on here knows what involvement he's had or what involvement he's likely to have going forward, w know his name because of a shirt in the background on a photo and him being listed on the companies house registration for the holding company that has been put in place.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend Samuelson, who appears to be very shady, I just don't think it's appropriate to be calling for us to back out of the deal, for example, purely because his name is mentioned.

for me it boils down to two scenarios

1- he is exactly what he says he is, he has millions tucked away in the bank and he owns loads more companies and his involvement with the 'dodgy' names is only advisory and facilitating in the buying and owning of the football club

2- he is a front man for the 'dodgy' names, he has some wealth but no where near the amount to buy and run a football club without offsetting debt against the club hence the involvement of certain characters

I will be honest and say I am worried it could be the second one,
i obviously hope I am wrong but
Ads and paul e coming on here and trying to allay those fears and making out everything is going to be fine isn't cutting it for me,

and I remain worried to the point of posting on the worried thread of old

With the Euro's starting today all the people at the PL/FL will be too busy with their snouts in the EUFA trough of freebies for the next month to worry about such insignificant matters as a fit & proper test for the incoming buyers and directors of a relegated football club.
Pre season could be underway before their attention finally gets back to the stuff they're supposed to be doing.
