It's a good job Abramovich isn't buying Chelsea now. I doub't he'd stand much chance of passing the 'Fit & Proper' Test with his rumoured shady dealings.

Not a lot the football authorities can do if there is no evidence of wrong doing - Samuelson has already passed a version of the test.
If Interpol fail to find hard evidence, I'm sure the football bodies will struggle.

I imagine the only reason not to pass a new owner, other than breaking the basic rules, is a failure to account for where the monies are coming from.

Ask Blatter or Platini to reverse engineer their strategies.  All sorted in 5 minutes.

Have any timescales been mentioned recently?  Swansea's takeover was announced in April but only happened this week, presumably that was a 'must complete the season' thing rather than how long the process takes?

A couple of weeks was mentioned last week, when RDM was announced.

To be honest as long as he comes in, spends some money wisely and appoints managers carefully, I don't care who his mates are or how he accomplishes the takeover. Fingers crossed.

I agree, there's a lot not to like about the owners of Chelsea, Man City and Newcastle just for 3 off the top of my head. Bottom line for us as fans is a team to be proud of and to actually get value for money at VP, a blue sky theory would be to be a wonderfully ethical club on top.

Having said that, I am sceptical of Samuelson, so we'll see how it all pans out.

This web page http://www.tokenhelp.com/Bestfeed/ warning people not to trust Hitchins because of unpaid debts, has a link/reference to Chris Samuelson and his Mutual Trust Swiss Bank company.

This guy is obviously not happy about his unpaid invoices, and i know it is relatively small money c£25K compared to the takeover of Villa,  but it prompted him to create a web page and to write the following

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ABOUT THE POTENTIAL DANGERS OF DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Xia has  been deathly quiet for several days.It would help if he would let the media know who he intends to place into the senior positions at the club should he be passed as fit and proper by the League.

A friend of mine is still owed money by Leicester City FC as was.  It has not stopped them becoming the nation's fave football club.

Good luck to Interpol if they're still trying to apprehend Boris Berezovsky

Isn't he a bit, er dead or am I thinking of someone else?

Well if he's not he has certainly been a little immobile for the last few years.  I'd like to compare a list of Tony X's business assosciates and see how it differs from somebody such as Tony Blair, David Cameron or Donald Trump to name but three.

Would you want any of them pulling the strings at Villa?
