It appears our takeover is being conducted by the Tradesman's Entrance rather than driving up to the front door in a stretch limo.

Time will tell but as Percy put so well, "I haven't been in much of a panic about Dr X but fuckin' 'ell, some of the company he keeps..."

I wouldn't read anything into that. It exists to own the numerous Villa subsidiaries.

Vialli failed but we got Di Matteo.
Zola told me over a pint the other day that his bid was rejected

Anybody know anything about this Alan Hitchins bloke.

He is listed as 03 Jun 2016   Termination of appointment of Alan John Frank Hitchins as a director on 27 May 2016 on the companies house entry for Recon Sports.
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10176070/filing-history

A (very) quick google throws up links to him and Portsmouth as an investor, http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/portsmouth/news/31394/hall-right-now-the-men-who-would-run-pompey-and-why-they-shouldnt...-
and a list of companies he was involved with that were struck off for failing to file accounts.

Why was he terminated as a director after a week?
Is he still involved?

I have to say I'm trying to put a brave face on this but the more I read about the people involved in Recon the stronger the stench of rat becomes.
