Xia seems to have gone to ground. Nothing for five days. Perhaps Randy has spoken to him!

I'd give up drinking. Well, I'd cut down. On spirits. During the week.

Isn't Wyness actually pretty good at his job?

Depends upon your standpoint. He turned around things like merchandising and catering at Goodison but was also the guy behind the proposed move to Kirby. Most Everton fans were relieved to see that back of him.

Macbeth had problems with spirits.

I don't see Randy Lerner agreeing to sell to charlatans. He's had ample opportunity before now. Why suddenly decide to do that? I hope that the Xia deal is kosher.

Of course he would. And what are these ample opportunities? He's been trying to shift the club gor two years.

I was thinking of the 'Midlands consortia' being promoted on other websites (!) during the last couple of years. There was also another one last year which collapsed when the Chinese stock market took a tumble.
Ok, perhaps 'ample' was overstating it, but we hear from Mr Hollis that there were at least 4 groups sniffing around earlier this year. I assumed at least one of them was dodgy!

Randy seems to have turned down a few, over the last couple of years at least.

Can't find it right now, but there was an article in one of the papers that claimed that we were almost sold last summer to the same American group that recently bought Swansea.

As was David Moyes which may go some way to him turning us down.

I know it sounds naive but if he thought the takeover wasn't going to happen and funds to go with it would Di Matteo be accepting the job and appointing four people to his back room team?

Another one!
Actually, I hope for Swansea's sake they're not dodgy.
Perhaps they didn't offer enough, as ChicagoLion suggested earlier.

Maybe the chinaman told him he'd taken out a loan with the provident for player recruitment.

Gianluca Vialli told me personally that Randy turned down an offer from a consortium he was fronting last summer
