Interesting if the No.6 is Garry Cook, who if you can get past some o fhis less pleasant character traits that led to his demise at Man City, did a great job of taking over where Bernstein left off in largely utilising the obscene riches well to start with, as well as apparently getting a lot of the behind the scenes stuff right.

He's also a bluenose. VillaVA, once of this parish, was in corporate hospitality up at the oil bowl for our first fixture against them after City signed Milner, and he started singing 'shit on the Villa' at her.

I knew he was a nose, hence the "less pleasant character traits". That plus his dealings Onuoha's mother.

That's just puerile and needless.

Apparently you can take the nose out of Brum, but you can't take the nose out of the man. Obsessed you say?

I take back what I said. A classless twat like that can stay well away.

A railway forum. Oh my days. My wife thinks I'm a pervert for going on the Internet and talking about football. If she knew that some of you were railway enthusiasts, she'd cancel the broadband

Here you go Damon, take a sneaky look at this picture when she's not about.

It may just be that I have given up work to look after the kids so Mrs Mike can pursue her career

Lucky bastard

He isn't! I did this in '98 and it was hell for 2 years. My empathy for the lot of women trapped at home went through the roof.

Correct. I think the wife punches the air as she drives out the gate to work. She doesn't exactly rush back, either.

I'm with Brian on this, I belong to a railway forum where going off topic means a metaphorical base ball bat around the head from the mods. When I come on here after spending time on there it's how I imagine it must feel to be let out of jail.

Another thread derailed

I think it's just the ticket

I find H & V a great platform for various discussion.

I did the stay at home parent thing with both of ours, the first day my partner left for work in tears and I sat with my head in my hands wondering what the hell I'd agreed to. It got better, loads better and I'm glad I did it.

Recon now registered in the UK as a Ltd Co.

That reading bloke is a director so likely to have some involvement at least in the initially stages.

Apart from the football related stuff I find the whole of Heroes and Villains an excellent, informative read.  There have been threads, the Charlie Hebdo being an excellent example, where the content of this forum has been as high, if not higher than the serious journals.

I love the surprise outbursts and tangents of H and V.  It would, in my view, be a less exciting and stimulating place if all we ever read or write on here had to be neatly tooth combed into relevance and appropriateness.

I consider myself to be pretty widely read and I see this forum as different, special and stimulating.  It's diversity, unpredictability and wide range of attitudes is what makes it so.

Seconded.

I'm with Brian on this.

There seems to be something fishy with this Alan Hitchins blokeas well, regarding a proposed Pompey takeover. Oh well.

Alan John Frank Hitchins, the guy who was the original director, appears to be a veterinary surgeon? Who is he, I wonder?
