I don't think they mean he's the life and soul of the party. But then again maybe he is and we just haven't noticed.

What seems to be lacking is the newspapers etc. insinuating/alleging/accusing of Xia of not being legitimate actually confronting him in person about the issues they are raising.  Not unusual for newspapers.

One of the problems I have these days with the internet is who is a reputable source with the clout to investigate and get the facts and who is just a blogger with an opinion.  Even the most reputable of newspapers come up short a lot of the time these days, mostly due to wanting to get a story out quickly, however weak in content.

One could argue, having read the daily telegraph report article,  that the media have donevtheir best to investigate and having found nothing (perhaps due to Chinese language) they put a spin on things .

I mean can the current owner be as foolish as to have gone this far with a prospective New owner who doesn't have the certifiable credential to run a football club. I think quite a few of us here think maybe he can after the ultimate balls Lerner has made in last 5 years however I still feel that avfc and Hollis and Lerner would nt just fell to any old buyer

. I think they have done a bit of research and would suggest it's a bit of a campaign and agenda by some media . I mean the other day there was an encouraging article on the guardian.  The thing is there may have been exaggeration and mistruths but then there may not have been and unfortunately the media themselves do that all the time.  Also I think there may be annoyance by some media they know Jack all about things and then have to eithe5 going super hyperbole or very negative for the gossip and news

We can only see it time but if it's the case the potential new owner is not up to it then that's a pretty awful busines move and it's unbelievable.

However if it's case it's fine and things just need to be ironed out the media need a good look at themselves. The telegraph article man be informative but lest we forget this is the paper that claimed Nicola sturgeon snp  was secretly backing David Cameron during 2015 election. This was a false claim . They were censored by press complaints commission.

. Ultimately it's down to the prem and football league people to see if Dr Tony is up to it. I m not sure about what agenda and investigative journalism is with media these days and who it looks to benefit.  So for me it's a watching brief.

They call Lerner outgoing?

This article is weak in parts as the telegraph obtained a document that could not be independently verified. That's stated early on yet they go on to use it as a backing for Dr Tony not being up to grade

And I'm not sure how much credibility journalism has got let alone questioning the business man. Telegraph printed premature obituaries on people as well as falsely claiming and being censored about snp leader backing David Cameron . That was ridiculous in itself .

And now a document that can't be verified is part basis for an article . People believe what they like . If rather wait and see.

Bit of respectful advice footy. Everything you said in those three back to back posts was said in the last three words of the third one.

Condescending post of the year award right there.  I think that advice could apply 50 times a day to different posters on here. We are all guilty of it. Little need to pick people up for it.

I have always encouraged footy, right from the start of his early confused posts.  Check last week when his posts were being slammed and "nurse!"  jibes were being directed at him/her.  I will take a pull willingly when it is merited but not in this case.

The longer this questioning of his credentials goes on the more and more uneasy we will get about the sale of the club.I would think Steve Hollis must be having some concerns about how his reputation is being affected. I also think we are all beginning to wish Dr Zia had pointed his magic wand elsewhere. Well at least I am!

I can't recall any other potential buyer for a club getting this level of scrutiny before. What the hell have we done to the press/media to merit this level of attention? It would be OK if I thought they had our best interests at heart but all I see is s**t-stirring of the highest order.

Surely the more scrutiny the better? That way we can be sure we've got an owner who is who he says he is, and one who can take us forward. Rather that than a replay of the Small Heath affair, which slipped completely under the national news radar because of their nonentity status.

If youre refering to the questioning by the media then we've got to put up with this for at least another week. From what we understand it appears there shouldnt be any reasons as to why Xia wont pass the test. Its just another waiting game
