What has the porn barons selling up to the first chancer with the money (he did pay for them lest we forget) got to do with Xia?

Yes sold to the money launderer by two porno magnates.  The noses and the bitters just cannot bear the reality of the situation.

Sorry, but the reality of the situation is that we are still waiting to see if this takeover is approved by the PL & FL.
And we are waiting for a new manager appointment.

We can speculate on;

a new name for the stadium,

who the new manager will be,

how much will be spent on new players,

how many of our current squad will be got rid of,

where we will finish next season.

Sorry, but until I see a new manager, dross leaving and a new influx of good players, I am worried that the Recon group takeover will be AVFC's version of  Michael Knighton.

Lack of proper due diligence in the fit and proper process conducted by the FA / FL.  That's what.  If they had asked difficult questions they may have anticipated future problems.  In the case of Blues they should have dug deeper.

I want to make sure in the case of Villa they dig deep enough to ensure they do the fit & proper assessment to the required standard.  Most of what we have seen and heard so far gives rise to many questions.

My own personal opinion is anyone who claims to target Villa being one of the top clubs in the world within 10 years must be bordering on unhinged.  I mean we'd love to see it, but really?  Seriously?

At least Carson Yeung's ambition was somewhat more realistic - to be the top team in Birmingham and sell some shirts in China.

They've talked the talk but can they walk the walk. That is the question.

Well if the takeover did happen to go tits up I wouldn't imagine there is a plan B. Let's just hope it happens because the alternative would be what ?

Like the movie set down the road?  That was real life which ended in a criminal conviction for money laundering.

That was a bit different. The Bongo brothers and Sullivan didn't give a shit who they were selling to. Lerner may be desperate for a sale but I still believe he cares for what he is leaving behind. He also would want to have some confidence that he will be likely to cop for the extra 40 mill,

I would agree with you, but would add a question about Lerner's competence.

Which then takes us to Hollis and the FA /FL.

I don't think the FA or the FL will do anything. Their rules are still pretty lax and will not filter people out simply because they seem a bit shifty.

I don't reallycare if he's shifty - the prerequisite for me is the show me the money

no I'm not accusing Dr T of being so, but  entrepreneurs take risks to amass wealth that to ordinary people, may appear to be  A bit like Lovejoy, Brian, only with oodles more cash.
