http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/shopping-and-consumer-news/11929180/How-Bicester-Village-became-the-go-to-place-for-Chinese-tourists.html

An interesting read, the second most popular tourist destination for Chinese visitors to the UK is Bicester. There were 6 million visitors there last year. Also the Chinese spend more per head than any other nationality.
So it might not be such a crazy idea to turn Villa and Villa Park in to a tourist attraction, for the soon to be new sporting pastime of a billion people. Dr X did say he wanted Villa to be the most popular team in China.

I love having an owner who talks to the press, tells you his plans, is very enthusiastic, has ambition and responds to fan concerns (e.g. showing the Daily Mail reporter evidence of funds).

Until he does something to prove otherwise, I'm going to be very grateful for Dr. X.

You make some great points about Birmingham. I've always thought that the club should make more of the fact that we are indeed part of this booming city. Over at the sty they have images of brums iconic buildings plastered all over ground. It's probably the only thing that we could learn from that lot in Small Heath. I'm hoping that the growing reputation of the city had some bearing on the takeover. This could be the start of something really big.

They have a picture of Villa Park at the sty?  😉

Phil's mom sounds lovely. A couple of friends of mine bumped into her whilst visiting his grave, ended up going round hers for tea!

Bad English's joke about the Birds Nest, Sexual Ealing's eulogy to Walsall-ian terrain and beyond in the guise of a fictionalised (but not much) Randy, and Percy's Brum educational crusade has made this thread the greatest one on earth. Take a bow one and all.
