What was Hollis thinking when he claimed Xia was responsible for the Bird's Nest stadium, he should have checked and double checked his facts before spouting them for all and sundry. It's fuckin amateurish.
Yes. If we are to believe that Hollis possesses gravitas and impeccability fitting to his job at KPMG than that's an error normally associated to buffoons.

If there were 3 bidders and this shyster was the best of the bunch who the fuck were the other two the Cosa Nostra and isis
No Isis pulled out after realising fans will not accept the wording on the kits and black shirts will clash with referees.

As fans we are powerless anyway, so all the panicking, hysteria and running for the hills won't help us in the slightest. Hold your nerve and see what happens. It'll all come out in the wash, as they say.

Agreed. And to those who say it's an honest mistake and mix-up with some landscaping work, it's not. Hollis said Xia was *responsible* for the Bird's Nest (and "some of the other major iconic developments in China"). It's an astonishingly silly thing to say or, alternatively, a knowing lie he thought he'd get away with. So was the nonsense about Xia being instrumental in moving a billion people from the countryside. No matter which way you look at it, Hollis' judgement is suspect and he has no credibility.

The club needs to respond to all this speculation and put the record straight. This negative publicity is no good.

With regard to Lerner selling to the "right" people, as a buyer, what would you do? He's hardly been a successful benefactor whose race is run and is looking to pass on his baton. For ten years he had his chance, I think he's foregone any rights to attempt to dictate ongoing direction and policy of the incoming administration. I'd be inclined towards "uh-huh, uh-huh, yeah mate, right. Tell ya what, here's your money, take it back to your family. Now there's the door, use it". Turns out Ellis fucked up on judging who to sell to, too, when the vast majority of us spent at least four years extolling him for his last noble act. I don't think any of us can judge how this is going to play out in the coming years, certainly not based on 72 hours of fractured communication, gut feeling and shoes. We've got little choice but to wait til the smoke clears. Roll on June.

Weird, I just came on to post the same. Found it at the end of this video

It actually sounds like the manager position has already been filled. With announcement next week.

This appears to be unravelling faster than you can sing Ying Tong Yiddle I Po.

5 companies becomes 1.

Urbanisation of China or a maker of Pot Noodle flavourings.

Hollis misquoted or misinformed over the Birds Nest.

I want to be wrong, I was rather hopeful about this but I smell a rat of Michael Knighton proportions.

Pot noodle and soap to wash the slurpy mess up afterwards.
