Haven't seen or heard any Villa news today, so what's the one thing that's got everyone's knickers in a twist regarding the takeover? I looked on here yesterday and most people were positive but today it's like the sky's fallen in.

Hollis claimed he had a hand building the Birds nest, he didn't.
Villa said RECON had a controlling stake in 5 public companies on the stock exchange, they don't as of now.

Little things keep popping up. Nothing he's said himself or RECON, but statements Villa have made really.

How much pubic and/or contradictory information was available back in 2008 when The Abu Dhabi United Group agreed to buy Man City? I'm sure as time passed it became clear that the group was for real and the investment was real and the desire to be successful was there for all to see. We have to see if this group is for real and we have to trust that Hollis has been convinced by actual facts and not just words and promissory notes.

Well surely Lerner / hollis must have obtained proof that he has the money in place for the sale. If he doesn't actually have the funds at his disposal then lerner/hollis  will be shown up to be the biggest mugs that have ever walked this earth.

I'd never heard of Abramovich but I remember the evening news on the BBC making it headline news when he bought Chelsea and saying how seriously wealthy he was and how it was a massive game changer.
