At least two 'miscommunications' in the first announcement isn't an auspicious start.
i continue to be unsurprised by these revelations because this is just typical when doing business with the Chinese. We put a far higher valuation on the truth in the west.
The Chinese see it as information and only exchange information for something in return.
They are not going to tell us everything about them and even who is behind this deal.
It could all turn out great but it might not.

If this does end badly, it's on Hollis not Lerner for me, he was supposed to be the one carrying out due diligence, he's the one that had to have his bullshit antenna working.

Randy told him to get rid, he did. I'm sure randy will get his cash

At least he's a Villa fan though, according to the same announcement. Can I have a peaky Blinders cut please, Tony. Long on top, number one at the back and sides

The FT article is quite a sobering read. However, ChicagoLion made a good point, alluding to the fact that the Chinese will give you what information they see fit and when they see fit. Do all companies even have to publish audited accounts on a yearly basis?

Is he?  Does he have a tattoo to prove it?

Lighten up, so far we have been made aware that he has registered a 9 on the bullshitometer. He appears to be a ducker, diver and a food additive salesman for a loss making company. What's next is he going to have a controlling interest in 'Peckam Springwater'?

Listed companies must. Unsure about others (or, as in this case, a holding company).

If you thought Lerner was a problem wait until you try and deal with the Chinese especially if their Government has any say. This to me could be nightmarish for the club, if it all goes pearshape they will sell all the assets. Randy selling to the right buyer for Villa, do me a favour.

No idea who this guy is, all I can say is I'm hopeful about the future for our club, but the villa fan in me says, we've heard all this before, don't get too excited.

I'm glad lerner's gone, but let's just wait and see.

As another poster is fond of saying: hang on to your seats- could be spectacularly good, or bad.

Warm welcome to B6 - DrX

The Chinese may be well be looking to invest substantial sums off shore.

I just don't see how a regeneration of Aston stacks up alongside buying property in London or NY or similar.

Check how high Birmingham is listed for development opportunities in Europe.
