Reading fans saying if it's Chris Samuelson then good luck to us as he nearly ruined them financially

Very intrigued to find out who these guys are. My head says Randy is a complete plonker and a bullshiter will have easily fooled him, my heart says for all his numerous faults as a chairman he won't have passed us on to some charlatans.....

I don't really know what to think.

Is that real? Who are all those other names bar Tony & Keith?!

Number 6 looks a bit like "Crook" - thats a bad sign
Chris Samuelson? - described as a football financier, involved with Wyness at Everton, had some dealings at Reading and Bristol City
Hmmmm not sure about Samuelson he has a strange past
What is the name on the number 11 shirt?

Although he could have easily be fooled by someone claiming not to be a charlatan.

The Recon Group are worth $42 billion according to credit reference agency.  I credit checked them at work.

"Lotus Health Group, part of the Health and Agriculture Division, is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and is the largest glutamic company in China and the second largest in the world with 12,000 employees, 10,000 distributors in China and 40,000 worldwide in 70 countries."

has a market cap of 5.7 Bn Chinese Ruan (£600M).

Sorry I don't do high finance are the figures in that link good or bad?

I have no idea, I was hjoping someone like Risso would comment who may be able to  make some sense of it.

That means on every measure - revenue, profit, cash, except for debt they have been deteriorating over the last five years.

Why is Lotus Healthcare relevant?
It's one of the companies owned by recon group, I think? But frankly, I'm not sure what the hell I believe any more.

Lotus is relevant as it is the division where the tourism and leisure portfolio is where our club will be placed.

im 50/50

if there is a bucketload of money and plans to make us the biggest club in china that would be the bollocks

then di matteo is mentioned and developing the ground to generate revenue to buy players and i think is that a bottle of wash and go in his pocket

Developing the ground to generate revenue and make the club self-sufficient is a requirement, even Chelsea and Man City have done it because you can't run a successful club which hasn't got the infrastructure in place for very long.  That's the bit that Lerner really missed a trick on, every other bad decision came as a consequence of that failure to really drive the turnover up.

i think our st revenue was 15 million last season against 116 million turnover, would another 5 million on top make a difference? plus what would the development cost?

long term i can see the benefit but for now it would be nice to see the upper trinity open

Lotus is a separate trading division of the Recon Group.  As is often the case, all of the divisions will be separate trading entities probably initially funded by the parent - Recon.

The way I see it we probably would have gone down again if Lerner had stayed. At least this way there is a chance we can turn things around.

A charlatan running rings around Lerner wouldn't be a complete shock, would it?

Welcome Tone.
