I think the xia link came from a fake article - best not to keep feeding that rumour I think?

I'm never one to speculate, or even exaggerate a rumour, but it's all so obvious now I'm amazed the invent-a-story journos at the Mail or even the Sun haven't worked it out themselves yet…

Wanda are investing 3bn Euros in a Leisure Complex/Theme Park on the outskirts of Paris and are reportedly in the process of doing the same in the UK.
Buying Villa for a mere £60m gives them Bodymoor Heath - which is ideally situated for airport and motorways and also over the road from a world famous golf course at the Belfry and just up the road from Drayton Manor.
The Belfry becomes the next acquisition and forms part of the huge complex that includes the land at Bodymoor Heath, now with a merry-go-round and movie-based theme rides (the Wanda group own the rights to The Hangover). Swallow up Drayton Manor and extend the Thomas the Tank Engine track out to Bodymoor and around the Belfry.
A bit of investment in HS2 could even see a stop at Middleton so HS2 passengers could get from London onto the Thomas The Tank loop within the hour, and investing in the M6 Toll road would enable fast free access by road.
All that needs doing then is to turn the Witton End car park into a 3G pitch so the players have somewhere to train.

Total guesswork, but it wouldn't surprise me that if we were to be bought by a Chinese business, they would have an eye on development projects in Birmingham as well.  When HS2 does come in, there is going to be a need for hotels etc. in the area around the proposed site.

So, every man and his dog knows that we're being sold to a Chinese person/group, yet no-one knows who they are.

I think the realistic scenario is somebody buys us who still has a pot to piss in after he's paid the asking price.

Nonsense from our friends over in Small Heath.

I'm not clicking on that shit and to be quite honest I'm disappointed that you do

Not my normal choice of site, was the first link on google related to this topic about the new owner, I saw that they were suggesting that this was a plant or fake.

Surely the very fact that the first link on Google about this "story" is to that lot.com should be a bit of a clue as to how much truth there is likely to be behind it?

I'm genuinely starting to question my own sanity because of this thread.

I also find this incredible.  How can they keep that secret?
