Aston Villa Football Club is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed today for the sale of 100% ownership by Randy Lerner to Recon Group owned by Dr.Tony Xia subject to the approval of the Premier League and the Football League。  Recon Group is one of the China’s largest business in the urbanisation and health and food sectors amongst other activities all over the world。 Dr。 Tony Xia will become Chairman of Aston Villa。)
Personally I wouldn't trust anything other than the official website for a legit announcement.
In that link the translation says owned by the Chinese government, so I reckon it's not right. I'm only going on Murphy saying an individual and not government linked.

As per DW's previous posts on the subject, we've had all the fish puns and all the Chinese puns before, so let's not have them all over again.

Edit - sorry, I think this is probably bollocks, comes up with some old hits on google

There's a certain club's forum already discussing this. They're more interested in our takeover than their own.

I have no idea if this is a good comparison or not but the optimist in me hopes this is a bit like when Shinawatra sold Man City. I'm sure Man City fans were shitting it that their gravy train was coming to an end. But despite all of the problems of Shinwatra's tenure he sold it to a group that changed football as we know it. I'm not suggesting that this could be the same but it would be so nice if Randy can be remembered some time in the future as someone who left us in very good hands.

I'm struggling to think which club you're referring to.

They're like scruffy urchins, dirty faces and ruddy cheeks pressed against the glass looking in.

The crayon eaters have had their laugh, time for a semblance of normality to be restored.

Thanks Chico.  But it was me who put the link on in the first place.  I subsequently found out that it is fake, so to save wasting peoles time am suggesting they ignore my post.

Is that alright with you?
