Stadium to be known as Paddy Field apparently.

You've been warned about this sort of nonsense more than once.

Just to clarify I don't believe I've been personally warned before as I wouldn't want it to be inferred I am racist.  But I get the general message.

Is there anything actually happening?

I don't mean in general, I mean in terms of a Villa takeover.

The Chinese have been exaggerating their economic growth figures for years now. Perhaps they will be able to exagerate how well we are doing as well.

I think with pretty much any takeover you don't really know how it's going to go. On the plus side with the Chinese, they have made great strides as a nation over the past decade, they appear to be serious about making themselves a force in football and embracing the game, and you would imagine there would be no shortage of cash available. In theory, if it's run correctly we could become a massive force in European football. On the negative side, do they really understand Aston Villa or indeed the culture of British football, will they buy other clubs in other leagues so we are not their 'sole concern' football wise? No sure of the rules with this, someone may be able to enlighten me. These are just a few things going round in my head at the moment and I admit I'm not all that clued up with this sort of thing.

Whoever takes over I hope they get King and Bernstein back on the board so we've got genuine Aston Villa and football knowledge and expertise at the top of the club. The latest Lerner disappointment was getting them on board then spectacularly screwing up again.

Positive comments from Black re takeover

“Being in limbo is not fantastic for anybody,” said the Scot.

“It has probably gone on because of the magnitude of the club and because the owner wants the right money and the right kind of individual to take it forward.

“I think the right announcement will be made regarding the ownership and I’m sure after that the right people will be put in place.

The future of Aston Villa's players is not certain

“I think Aston Villa will come again, I really do. I am confident we will see a very strong Aston Villa next year and very soon they will be back in the Premier League.

“But I don’t imagine this will drag on until the middle of July.

“You can’t say for sure but in the next two or three weeks I would imagine we will know where we are.”

I'll stick with my guess that something major will come out in the next week. Too many people who will know something have recently referred to weeks instead of months for me, and on that basis I'm going to asume that the plan is to have things in place so that the manager, coaching team and finances are all in place by early June so we have pretty much a full summer to build a squad to get us back up.

I agree with that Paul. Black wouldn't be saying what he has now two weeks running if something wasn't about to happen. The next couple of weeks, while it is still utterly shit being relegated will be incredibly interesting.

The Chinese looking to invest in football and two knowledge of what it's like to own a football club. Now there has been various rumours in who and when are buying villa. The facts are that the vastly reduced price for villa see Chinese seeing as worthwile investment.  The vc would look to build and develop club and then have similar model in China.  Also have to not that alot of companies and organizations are state backed so it's not a big deal as such yo say Chinese governgovernment are investing.  Though that much is true and its an ends to a means . They want an in for the premier league and villa are a great option. Ac and inter are potentially having a Chinese ownership and stake and Malaga are latest linked . With the president xi wanting to make in roads in footballing world Chinese with vast money will be looking to build and will be a world force. Both nationally and withinn their league . It's already the most popular watched league outside of Europe.  What's interesting is the relationships with athletico Madrid and Manchester city . There investments will mean acquiring knowledge and having Chinese players go overseas to develop.  The deal in sort with villa would see the development of game in China. I also would state that in next 5 10 years max China will be the global league and exceeds premier league.  That said it's the government building up a portfolio of business abroad , acquiring  them anf havinv a model to bring in to Chinese super league. The busines of football as we all know is big and the Chinese will be at the forefront.

What I could say from my extensive research and already knowledge on game and development strategies are that the Dutch club den haag were taken over by Chinese . It's a situation where there were issues regards payments and close problems to administration.  However after the fanfare of Chinese ownership and promises of millions the club has now seen the moneies the Chinese backers intially with held.
The point is they want to do things efficiently and have the means but want to make right their investments.
Investing in villa is a means to an end. It's also a sale Randy would take providing conditions are met. The reason vc want to buy villa is purely a business decision.  It's to acquire an established  football club with amazing fixed assets and see it grow.  It will then link into the Chinese market establishing players , coaches and academies to develop their own players .
I'm pretty sure Chinese super league would be up there already if it was in the west regards tv coverage. Russian in last few years had tried to buy big with south American imports but China now is and will be the place too established players from south America and rest of world will go.  It will also see those British players who are open minded to take on the challenge .

The fact is now that Guangzhou Evergrande are the most valuable club in the world and they are a Chinese club. Players now turn down prem league clubs and go to China and that will happen more and more.

The prestige is the premier league so the Chinese are intetresed in gaining prestige. Remember man city when had new owners of middle east were making bids for fabregas,  messi,  Terry and Rooney it was like pure fantasy football. Signing robinho and money no object .Well that's how ALL the clubs are be coming in China.

With villa the idea is that it can re build and the Chinese see it as a great opportunity and one they obviouslt want to get right. They also want to get knowledge of football and 75 to 100 million is a decent price .

Going back to Den hag situation there was a period of time they weren't being paid and the Chinese investment seemed like a big mistake so people can be wary of such Chinese investment.

In another development where athleti Madrid are part owned by Chinese government Jackson Martinez was sold and I could see a similar issue with gabby agbonlahor being moved to Chinese super league . I would think provisio in place that players would be moving out to Chinese clubs when they have Chinese state ownership. It's little know mention that China state part own Manchester city and that investing that money basically gives them access to facilities coaches and trainers. Villa now a league lower would represent attractive proposition for a model idea on developing Chinese clubs.

Very very interesting whats happening here and i think it needs to be made clear and brought more to attention in British and European media and football world how much China are pushing to be market and football leader.

They are very similar players, it's true. So we should only play ball if we get close to that £30 million plus fee.
