To be fair the Mirror article mentions both as well.

Any story or ITK that mentions Larry "never even heard of soccer" Ellison gets immediately discarded by me.

Why would Lerner have backed off when the Chinese stock market crashed (did it?), surely they would have impacted on the buyer, not Lerner?
