Is anyone else finding themselves emotionally "over" this entire takeover thing?

It seems like we've been talking about this for years now. In fact we have. First post on this thread over two years ago, and here we are, still in the hands of Lerner, still not taken-over.

I appreciate there has been more talk about it recently, but I still have this "heard it all before" feeling about the whole thing.

It's only since things went tits-up this season that he's become a "committed seller" though and there does seem to be urgency and a now or never feel to it. We've not had someone with the business acumen of Hollis working for us before now either.

just half watched a piece on the news about how the Chinese are massively expanding participation in football, so maybe this latest rumour might have some truth to it?

I saw another piece on Central News saying that a number of prominent Chinese business leaders will be visiting Birmingham in a few weeks to discuss development opportunities, particularly around the proposed HS2 site. 

At the risk of putting 2+2 together and getting 569, could there be a possible link?

Not really , they havent put  the train track down yet

It is all starting though, which is what the piece on Central News was about.  They have broken ground on the project to build the centre which will train all the engineers and the Chinese delegates will be over in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I should know better really.  I've been lurking here (and the previous incarnations of the site) probably for over 15 years.  But sometimes the punathons just get the better of me, particularly in the thread I am currently most interested in.  I see there's two more pages and I think 'ey up, somethings going on' only to find more pages of puns about Chinese food.

But I guess it's still better than the over excited teenagers on TBAR with their bouncy smilies ejaculating over members of the Forbes rich list.  Maybe I should take a look at VT...
