I wonder how much of a steak these new owners will put in.

It doesn't matter, they're bound to make a cow's arse of it.

Which banjo-wielding Gabby will miss.

Wasn't there a Wragge's bakers in Brum at one time?

No you're thinking of Greggs. There's loads of them now. 😗
Greggs used to be called Braggs

Greggs eat Braggs.
They used to have a bakery in highfield road by the rock pub , but it moved to saltley slash nechells by the sportsman pub .On the site of the old greggs slash braggs site is a car wash company , they use a pressure washer to blast dirt from your trims

Long time ago I worked opposite the Braggs Bakery - the shop/cafe entrance on the Alum Rock Rd.  The Wimbush bakery was near the sty.
was that on the corner of gowan road bren , opposite the 26 bus stop

I wouldn't have a clue about what bus stopped there or anywhere.  The enterance to what was the Braggs Bakery -  was off the Highfield Rd which as you say is close to Gowan Rd.

I do hope whoever is coming in gets it sorted quickly. We need some stability to build for next season, including a manager and a budget of 10 million to get shut of a few complete wasters.

I think people are forgetting the important spell between Wimbush and Bragg's.  The Three Cooks era should not be forgotten.

I'm completely lost.  Is Greggs, Wimbush or Warburtons who are taking us over?

I don't care who it is as long as they've got plenty of dough. If they use their loaf they could get Warbuton in as manager.

Firkins at Stockland Green was your normal cake shop, and Druckers in Erdington High Street was the fancy cake shop, I used to get my mom to take me there after the dentists.
