And the Spratly Islands, or 南沙群岛, to give them their correct name are definitely theirs and the rest should back off from their illegal claims. And Taiwan is theirs too. |D|on't get me started on the bleedin' Dalai lama and his trouble-maker ways.

Talks are ongoing with "more than one bidder". UK, America and the Far East (presumably China).

which would suggest we are several weeks away from a sale.

But if true you would think they could get one of them over the line

Yeah I don't mean it will be quick just that we might well have new owners before the start of the new season

Can more than one party be in due diligence at the same time?

I have a suspicion that is a lot closer than that.  IMO...an early purchase is a must for any of the prospective new owner´s , due to the fact that  getting Villa  out of the Championship at first try  would be an absolute imperative ...and to do so would mean starting the ´clean-up´soonest...if not sooner.
The cleaning of the augean stables ain´t got nothing on the cleaning up of ´toxic´Aston Villa F.C.!.)....let the purging begin, ASAP, please !........Godzvilla!

If spending two seasons in the Championship  was the cost of obtaining new owners that weren't asset strippers and had a strong transfer budget overseen by the right people then, I'll take it.

yes, but usually they ask for exclusivity before spending lots of time and money on Dilligence. My information may be wrong or they dropped out or the exclusivity period ran out.
What i do know is that there have been several interested party's in the last 2 years that for whatever reason did not complete.
After the King comments we all thought that this was much closer, it still may be.

I heard that Wragge (now called Gowling after a merger) are working on behalf of one of the interested parties. Anybody know anyone who works there?
