Isn't the difference that Peace has more or less operated them within what they earn whereas Randy is looking to recoup much of his own personal outlay?  Hence Peace requires less to get out.  Might be wrong but I think they have been fairly self sufficient.  From what I've heard it is a Chinese buyer.

I think Randy has written that off and just wants the 150m for the sale.

Read the same thing outside of the mirror. Chinese desperate to buy a premier league club, if they're happy with the bags as a prem club then I'm glad Randy said bye.

How much are WBA going for ? Honestly if we are £150m I imagine they will go for about £60m
Reports are that they are going for £150m too. I know...its ridiculous.

That's what it means to be a Premier League club. Just goes to show that we're very undervalued but if that gets us the right owner, then fair play to Lerner.

Lerner deserves a lot of credit if that's the case. If he's following through on the custodian piece and waiting for the right new owner , whilst still bankrolling us to the tune of literally hundreds of millions of personal money then the man cannot be faulted. He'd be entering statue territory.

Well £150m for Baggies is the figure that has been banded around in the media for the last few weeks (and on SSN today), and we all know that Randy has dropped his price from over £200m in order to get a sale...also rumours suggesting that Randy turned down a bid from the consortium lined up to takeover Baggies but no evidence to back that one up.

Smethwick expect to be sold by end of month according to Peace.

The 'big news' that we were waiting for turned out to be that they are in an exclusivity period, like we're reported to be. The difference is that they have officially announced it.

So why haven't we?
Because we're not media whores who do their business in public?

Just wondering if it was a legal requirement or summat.

Fair enough. Couldn't resist the chance of a cheap shot at that lot.

Don't know how they're structured, but I think that they're privately owned by Peace, presumably through some limited liability holding company.

As they wouldn't have any shareholders to inform, I don't see why they would need to blab about it, unless they are media whores who like doing their business in public.

Anyway here's hoping their consortium comes complete with an over mortgaged hairdresser. (crosses fingers that Randy is playing the good custodian on our takeover.)

Back to the values of each club.  Don't forget Peace will have massively overvalued Smethwicks goodwill value which is purely based on an asset known as 'wimsthegreatestfansintheworld.'

So maybe that's the difference then, although as a limited liability company, isn't it a closed circle of shareholders, thus negating the requirement to make a public statement?

I might be (and probably am) talking out of my posterior but I thought that it was only PLCs that were required to make those kinds of statement to the stock market they're trading on.

I still prefer it being that they are media whores etc.
