The best news in all of this is that Paul Smith is seemingly being ruled out which extends to most critically the possible nightmare of Tony Adams being out of the picture.

Tony Adams talks as much sense as footyskillz, in fact they could be the same person.

TV, I had exactly the same sigh of relief.

It flashed up on my phone that he was not thought to be involved according to the BEEB just as Game of Thrones got into awesome territory for a second week running. I did think that it would be cool if Tyrion could become our new owner though.

I'm not getting excited, in fact I'm more full of dread
I know people think anyone but Randy is a good thing, but I have fears

Randy has lost heart so he has to sell, but I think we could easily end up with a disappointing scenario,
It's a consortium for a start, so individually they haven't got the money, if there is any money borrowed against the club then we will be in debt and the prospect of spending big on players will be a pipe dream

I really don't see the great new future days are just around the corner, I Obvously hope my misgivings are totally wrong, but I have a bad feeling about the takeover

lighten up; Randy had a massive wedge and look we that has got us. We know  nothing about the people involved yet - until we do, always look on the bright side.

Circus not Tavern. You're mixing it up with a song scummy Ipswich fans used to sing about the pub bombings.

I can exclusively reveal that Sox the White Horse cat has denied being involved in any consortium to buy the club. She says that in her view when consortium’s  take over clubs they usually make a right dogs dinner of it.
Sox, in an exclusive interview with this correspondent also told me that her bid of a bag of catnip sweets and a half eaten mouse was turned down. She then went on to reveal that one of her Siamese friends was interested in buying the club, when I asked for a name she told me it was Mee Ow a cat well known for doing it's business in other peoples back gardens.
Unfortunately miss Mee Ow wasn't available for comment.

Well it appears to be between an American consortium and a Chinese consortium. I would imagine Randy will choose his compatriots if he has researched them properly. But who knows?  Could the Chinese have more financial clout?  They would certainly run the club in a different way
or at least I think they will. Pat McMahon would be a good bet to supply us with these facts. What do you think Pat?

I may be wrong but unless TS sells Benteke quickly he will be unable to bring anyone in. Of course Randy will not be putting any finance into the club so Benteke's fee is Sherwood's only hope to improve the squad.

With this latest news on bidder exclusivity in place I don't think we can dispose or acquire assets so there may well be lack of activity in this transfer window. If the deal  is good and goes ahead it will take till start of the season to tie it all up. So I don't expect much change in our squad in the short term.

As long as no one talks about the half a billion extra replica shirts we'd shift I don't really mind whether they are American or Chinese. I'd have preferred Randy to stay but he doesn't seem to have any inclination to allow funds to be spent. The way we are going only has one ending.

I suspect you're right about the finance. About the time of the FA Cup Semi it felt (to me at least) like Benteke was being fattened up for market, as this was the only way Sherwood would have funds available. That (again my perception) seems to have abated over the last month or so. Maybe Fox and Sherwood know something after all.

Same here. I don't want my club owned by Chinese. Nothing racist in it, it's the fact Small Heath were run into the ground by them. Steer well clear.
