They're going mad on TBAR again. Unbelievable. Just waiting for Admin to be raised from the dead.

Haven't they learnt from their multitude of previous mistakes?

Isn't TBAR like a takeover version of a Footyskillz post on the transfer thread? But a whole forum dedicated to it.

I've just been reading it. Somebody knows somebody who works for somebody who knows who's buying us and he's American and they're all asking him for more information and they're getting very excited. It's probably the same chap who rang up Randy's restaurant and got the postcode.

It's happening. We're being bought by Ellison. Harlan Ellison. He's most impressed at how we can make a story arc go from promising and upbeat to absolute, gut-wrenching disaster so convincingly. Expect more drama.

Don't like to speculate prematurely but the Kabbabish closed early tonight, exactly 14 hours ahead of the opening bell on Wall Street which could be significant .

Hold on to your Nahm Breads.

And once again disappointment reigns on TBAR as they come to the conclusion that the latest speculation is all nonsense. They'll never learn.

Takeover bollocks is back on the menu and it's being served hot Hot HOT! You like horseshit? Or maybe some bullshit? Either way, the TBAR takeover meter is once again buried deep in the smelly stuff so come and talk some bollocks

I can't remember if it was a comment made during the match or in a report after (or a journo on twitter, for that matter), but there was a mention of shots showing Randy chatting to Prince William, as he sat next to him during the game, but I heard someone say that at a time when Villa are for sale, the sight of Lerner and William chatting was a reminder that buying a club like Aston Villa can mean buying yourself into the company of royalty.

Which I thought was a very good point.

Just a general point, not referring to any potential takeover going on.

Excellent point. Billionaires don't buy football teams to make money. The likes of Man City's oil-rich Arabs and Chelsea's Russian oligarch do it for legitimacy and to secure their status among the elite. An association with a Duke and heir to the throne would be an added bonus.

There will probably be a story about Prince William buying us now!

Aren't Americans obsessed with the British monarchy ? This would point to an American buyer . Over and out, Poirot.

I'd imagine it would be more appealing to the 'new money' folks from the middle east and the far east.  Whilst they have oodles of cash the credibility of the British Royal family would afford them priceless kudos.  It's a very good point paulie, somewhat tempered by the fact that William attends so rarely, but true nonetheless.  Enough to raise my hopes a bit again.
