I would hope Randy would have the interests of the club at heart and not just sell to the first buyer who matches the asking price. So if there is (and I think there is an interested party but have no idea who), I would hope they have what is needed to take the club forward.
As for the Benitez issue, I didn't expect a throw away line to turn into a couple of pages of debate as to Benitez' merits. For what it's worth, I would rather give an unproven manager (that has started well) a chance over a vastly over-rated manager who like Houllier would espouse the virtues of Liverpool at every chance. Benitez is another manager who sets his teams up to play boring, defensive football, makes glaring defensive errors (not playing Hamann in the final against Milan left a huge whole between defence and midfield that led to Milan being 3-0 up at half-time) and has previously said he was only interested in the job if he had a huge transfer fund to blow. I still remember that press conference when he brought in a dossier of statistics to counter one thing Ferguson had said.
