Although, just in case he is right, I have to say, a hedge fund owner would be right down the bottom of my list of preferences.
Why would an hedge fund buy a business that hasn't made money for years?

Hedge funds are the assets trippers asset stripper. They have just made Argentina default on debt unnecessarily to squeeze a few more quid out. If true, this is very bad news.

They'd be looking at the fact that we are, now Randy has waived them, debt free and breaking even (on paper).

They'd then be looking at the fact that PL television money is only going to get bigger. They would basically be about keeping us on the gravy train, taking the profit from the bigger telly payments, and pretty much nothing else.

That would be like Lerner rubbing salt into an already open wound. For all his faults I can't see him selling to a hedge fund. Well I hope not anyway.

If Randy sells to an hedge fund (and I don't think he would) his legacy would be shot to pieces.I just don't see it.

Is it even worth the discussion? It's some sad case making up utter rubbish.

He's mentioned a name now - Mike Vranos.

Hedge Funds are about making money, that does not include buying Aston Villa.

As someone else on here said, probably Woodhall, really ITK people don't make a point of telling the entire world how ITK they are, because if they did, they wouldn't remain ITK for much longer.

I am waiting for the general level of ignorance and bewilderment to sink to my own before offering any kind of opinion.

Make lots of money short term which is what they are normally interested in.

Buy the club, reigster holding company abroad, laden it with debts used to pay for the purchase, sell naming rights to the ground, hell sell the ground.

We have a hedge fund manager in our midst under a nom-de-poste. If we are being hedge fund hoovered by somebody we have a mole embedded in the industry.
