Was villa kicks an employee trying to work out whether we'd accept a loan bid for Grant Holt?

I know for sure that the various threads on message boards are monitored by the club.

you are the one that threatened to kill another fan aren't you! That's why I wasn't keen to argue

You've lost me with that.

The club just mentioned that the new code of conduct rules were made because of some death threats.

They were, but I don't see how that could be linked or attributed with me.

Well, not really, if you read this article:

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/death-threats-blamed-new-aston-7587109

Quote
A controversial code of conduct Aston Villa supporters have been asked to sign was designed to crack down on death threats made on fan forums, and ticket touting, the Birmingham Mail can reveal.

Villa chiefs and fan club bosses had been increasingly concerned about abusive messages posted on social media sites, and matters came to a head when one supporter threatened to kill a fellow Villa fan.

There were also reports of Lions Club members illegally selling tickets handed to them as part of their official supporters club status.

Villa officials were concerned that “unacceptable behaviour” threatened to affect the good name of the club.

They met with Lions Club chairmen to thrash out additional safeguards in a 20-point charter, which came into force on July 31 but which has sparked controversy with a number of chairmen refusing to sign up. The new Clause Seven bans ‘abusive conversations towards anyone associated with the Club in any public forum’.

Point four, meanwhile, states the ‘Chairperson shall not, sell or distribute tickets to the Club’s home or away games to the general public’.

One chairman who has signed the code revealed that the crackdown on abuse was brought in after a death threat during a heated argument online. “I know of at least one instance when two fans got into an argument on a forum and one threatened to kill the other,” he said.

“If they can’t control themselves, then a code should be used.”

Villa Head of Media Brian Doogan said: “Everybody can exercise their right to criticise the club. Abusive language and behaviour is another matter, however, and simply will not be tolerated.”

Another chairman said the ticket directive was introduced after a Lions Club official stood outside the Villa Park ticket office “blatantly selling tickets for over the odds”. The person responsible is no longer an official.

In a statement, Aston Villa said: “It is not a decree by Aston Villa Football Club that match tickets should not be forwarded to anyone other than the supporter who purchases them, or for whom they have been purchased.

“It is simply an attempt to prevent ticket touting, which is against the law.”

Ninety-five percent of the 200-odd Lions Clubs worldwide have signed up to the charter, but eight groups have been removed from the official fan club network after refusing to sign – Sutton Coldfield, Pheasey, North Walsall, Cannock, Stafford, Swindon and Wilts, Gloucester and Somerset.

Villa’s club chairman of the year, Paul McCusker, said the Northern Ireland branch approved the code after it was put to a vote of around 40 of its members.

“I don’t want to be dragged into the politics of it,” he said. “Because I know people who have signed and people who haven’t. I put it to a vote among our members and we agreed to sign it.

“We all agreed there are many benefits from being a Lions club.

“We are aware it allows us to get tickets but there are other perks like getting to play on the pitch and hospitality at matches.

“The club has always been very good to us and looked after us.”

Karl Cort, who runs the Costa Blanca group in Spain, said he saw nothing wrong with the code.

“I think there was only an issue with it if you felt you’d got something to hide,” he said. “Seventeen of the points have always been there as long as there have been Lions Clubs.”

Mike Symmonds, head of the Surrey Lions, said he had reluctantly complied with the directive, but would not have hesitated had the club privately stated it was in response to problems last season.

“We didn’t really see it as necessary and thought they should trust us a bit more,” he said. “But if there have been problems, then we would understand.”

So, basically, that's one chairman saying he once saw one fan threaten to kill another one online.

So here's hoping that the next time one fan gives an empty threat to "kill" another one on a forum, that that person is a Lions Club chairman, in which case, their club can be removed from the OS listings and they won't get any tickets.

It really is a gigantic load of old nonsense.

If what this is really about is - as mentioned in the other Mail article - people giving Alan Perrins loads of grief, then they should have had a clause about vowing to never abuse other members of the Lions Club organisation, and to treat each other with respect.

Instead they went down that blanket, "anywhere on the internet" and "whether on a LC page or in your own personal internet presence" line, hence the traumatic nonsense which has arisen this week.

I understand what they are trying to do, but they've done it really cack-handedly.

I just saw that.

I've noticed that every "EXCULSIVE!!!111!!!" he has posted so far has been something that someone else said shortly before, and that most of them didn't actually happen, so I won't be holding my breath.

As someone else on here said, probably Woodhall, really ITK people don't make a point of telling the entire world how ITK they are, because if they did, they wouldn't remain ITK for much longer.

Although, just in case he is right, I have to say, a hedge fund owner would be right down the bottom of my list of preferences.
