Oh well that's all fine and dandy now that Joleon Lescott is no longer available. *struts off in non-serious huff*

Watch out now for a forensic analysis of every single word of his statement, particularly on some of our dearly beloved 'sister sites'!!

here's what I think they'll focus on. The use of the word "definitive" and whether that implies something being agreed in principle.

Quote
Reverting to common practice, I do not intend to comment further on a potential sale or related rumours unless and until I have reached a definitive agreement to sell, at which time I will be prompt and clear.

My guess is TBAR have formed a new committee to discuss the word "productive" as it refers to the ongoing sale process.

Did he break the statement to TBAR first?

Eastie will probably say so. I wonder who is now the proud owner of the white suit!

I believe that admin wrote it for Randy. Such is his and their influence.

I originally voted the takeover "could take years", but now I've seen this statement I think "by Winterval" would be a more accurate guess.

I don't see how this is a bad statement at all. I think it also symbolises that Lambert may well get the normal 15-20m to spend that he has had so far, plus maybe cash from sales, so we might be active in the market to protect the asset he is trying to sell.

TBAR had this days ago.  Granted, the words were in a completely different order, but they had it first.

Is that in the same way Eric Morecambe used to play the piano

I suppose it comes down to a question of whether you think Randy would spend £20 million to protect a potential £150-180 million asset and I think the answer would be yes.

Another way of looking at it I guess, would be to ask how much is Lerner willing to spend to protect a potential £150-180 million asset; as little as possible.

Can we please stop referring to Admin as "he" and "his". My understanding is that Admin transcends gender and therefore referencing either sex when speaking of Admin undermines not only Admin's status, but also the work that Admin is here to do.

Many thanks.

I certainly owe them an apology. In saying that the club is still up for sale Randy confirmed they were right when they named the new owners two months ago.

The statement seems perfectly self-explanatory and clear, and I think it's important that we remember that it's just a football team and not selling arms to the US government, so there's no reason why the sale process shouldn't be a fairly normal (ish) one.

The statement has made me confident that he'll spend some money this summer and that the sale be a bit sooner than I expected.

That's 2 wishes what's the third?

And did the fairy look genuine?
