I have a 'fans level' knowledge of football. I've also spent 25 years telling a succession of the club's directors what they're doing wrong and how to put it right. I bow to no-one in my ability to get money out of Villa fans. I also know that if I got anywhere within sniffing distance of a position of authority I would have our support, in a matter of weeks, hankering for the good old days of Norman Smith.

When someone puts themselves up there to be 'leading a bid' to buy the club, it's a bit more than "discussion and opinions" on a fans forum.  Whether someone is a potential Mesiah or more likely to be potentially leading us to an abyss, I think asking a few questions of their background and qualifications to do so is a pretty valid point.  Don't you?
