What's Tom Hanks up to? Surely he'd wanna buy us?

Poor show from Hanks, and even moreso Cameron, William and King that they can't sort out some oligarch or such to financially dope us to world domination.

No amount of bad press could prevent me from abusing that kind of power in the interests of Aston Villa.

Off to greek island of Zakynthos in early hours of tomorrow for 3 weeks, first holiday for 12 months due to Mrs K having both hips replaced in that period, much needed break for her, going to steer clear of internet while I am away so will be back on here 29th of June, maybe we will know a bit more re new owners by then but somehow I think not.  8)

Suppose it's possible Lerner has been trying to sell privately for 2 years already. No takers so had to widen the search and go public. Still no takers.
He may have to keep us and just tick us over for years to come .

I'm not sure a "soft touch" randy would be that different to the one we've seen for the past few years. So business as usual, and we've managed to stay up during that period.

Sounds like you both deserve it, hope you have a great time.
I've had no real big holiday for five years, so bloody busy.

Try to cram as many long weekends to scotland or Norfolk coast however

do you know St Abbs in Berwickshire, just up the coast from Eyemouth? Just a few houses and the harbour really, but a spectacular spot, with amazing coastal walks.

Understood. But what a beautiful spot! Was up there for two days a couple of weeks ago and that whole stretch of coast from around Alnmouth up is amazing and totally dog friendly which is a huge plus for us.

We love Alnmouth but it's a bit like Damon's love of Sizewell.   In his case you have to sit with your back to the nuclear reactor.   At Alnmouth I have to sit where I can't see the architectural vandalism which is that estate of white clapboard faux scandinavian holiday flats.   We walk a lot, Mrs G and me, ten years ago we would walk the entire length of the Prom des Anglais from the airport spur to the old port to work up an appetite for lunch.   These days we park beside the ice plant road south of Eyemouth, soak up the spectacular seascape, eat chocolate and do crossword puzzles.   Bourgeois or what.

I used to visit Alnmouth regularly about 20 or so years back. One of the first times I went there I was in the pub in the evening when two blokes came in dressed in brown habits and sandals . All the locals seemed to know them and they had a couple of pints and left. When I went to the bar after they left I asked the barman if there was a fancy dress party on somewhere. He gave me a puzzled look and said not that he knew of. So I said what about the two blokes dressed as monks.
He burst out laughing and said they weren't monks but Friars from the Friary in the village and some of them visited the pub regularly. I forget what order they belonged to but over the years I got chatting with some of them and they were brilliant down to earth company.

With all this rambling going on I take it there are no private jets parked at BHX.

More chance of Villa being bought by whomever owns Friends Reunited or MySpace.

Didn't Itv buy Friends Reunited just as Facebook was taking off?  That couple who invented it from their bedroom were pissing themselves all the way to the bank.

I was given some magic beans for my birthday. Any chance Randy would do a swap with me?
