Pele appointed as commercial manager. His first move is to install Viagra vending machines throughout the stadium.*

Price dropped by 50mill.  We really are in the poo aren't we?  Clearly no buyer lined up like many of us believed.  Stuck with Lambert too.

I think there is every chance Randy will change his mind,

take the club off the market and try and give it another go, not to the same levels of investment as we saw when he first came, but a lot more than we are seeing at the moment

In fact I reckon it's 50/50 that this happens, and more so if a buyer is not found before the start of the new season

I see it that way too. If he's a good custodian he won't just sell to any tom dick or Harry. If the right offer doesn't come along he can keep us, chug along mid table , break even or even make a few bob with the new deal then try and sell again if an offer ever arrives.
In my view he's a fan, a rich one yes but he's always welcome down Villa park.

I see it that way also.   He will give it another go.   He does things on a whim it seems. There is no reason to think the next whim will not be to carry on.

yes, I too believe that Randy called Alan Nixon directly and told him that. How low have we sunk?

I don't agree, I think the takeover is nearer than some think. Purely my view of course, but I think whoever is coming in has made Keane their choice, not Randy or either of the Paul's. I also think that the twist will be that he will ultimately be manager, not number 2. Time will tell if I'm right or horribly wrong, which is all part of the fun I guess!

Ha, imagine if we get a new owner and STILL end up with Lambert in charge. I would probably just burst out laughing, Arya Stark style.

Lol that's just created a vision for me of Roy Keane's thumbs in El Ahmadi's eyes slowly crushing his skull!

Lambert with some decent backing and a some good coaches could also still be a good manager.

Why? It wouldn't be any big deal.  Lambert would be given one last chance and if he didn't turn things round he'd be out the door. Is that so traumatic?

The last two years have been traumatic enough thank you. Why bother taking the risk of having another desperate season? The only reason to keep him would be if we literally can't afford to replace him and you would hope that a new owner wouldn't be stuck in that position.

Takeover = fresh start please. Not 'Oh go on Paul, have another season bless you. Maybe if you have money to spend you'll be able to beat Sheffield United and Bradford. Here's the cheque book...'
