To plunge the club into such uncertainty is not the best way to sell season tickets. I think that's why people were convinced that Lerner's announcement of sale must be a prelude to the completion of a sale. How could he be stupid enough to put the club up on the market with such a fanfare and no buyer in sight, and then expect people to buy season tickets when Villa are effectively in limbo?

And yet here we are.

It seems a very ill advised thing to do when they could have simply denied the sale rumours back when he first commented.

I may be going mad, what is this six week window? Did I read somewhere that he aimed to sell the club in 6 weeks?

Is it true we've onlh sold around 6500 season tickets?
Was it 22000 last season ?

We're still in May, a bit soon to be drawing any conclusions. For what it's worth I renewed this morning.

Not sure that anyone has said they plan to sell the club within 6 weeks? I think it may have come from speculation that due diligence in a deal like this would typically take around 6 weeks?

Each to their own and all that, but we are anticipating/ hoping that a new owner will spend hundreds of millions on our club. Probably someone who has never seen us play live and never even visited the city. Yet some of our most commited fans won't chuck in their £500's until a stranger chucks in £200million first and then promises even more after!

Doesn't make us look a very attractive proposition to me.

I think a lot of fans are holding back with their renewals to see what happens with the club. I know I am.

I'd like to go to them, but they keep putting them bloody midweek. If they were Saturday games then I'd go to some of them.

I reckon a few will go to Holland as well. In fact the away crowd will hold up. The financial support ( free coaches etc) carries on next season as well I think.
