If people think would be sold without any buyer or buyers advisors at least visiting VP/BMH quote frankly you're very very naive (that's been extremely kind)

Some positive news-the red battery terminal on my car has a big plus sign on it.

Don't get starting anything.

Shakes head.  What do you think Merrill Lynch have to do then when they have been instructed to 'advise on the sale of Aston Villa!'

BOA Merrill Lynch is afaik the bank who closes the deals on behalf of the people and businesses, so they don't look for buyers. "Advise on the sale of Aston Villa" Could mean anything from looking for buyer to the closing the deal if you think about it.

If you read the statement, you should notice it was very carefully written not to give anything away - like pretty much any bigger business would do. The business people I know have said that it's exactly like the statement any business man would write when they know they're not gonna stay for long anymore, ie. when they already have a buyer.

If this goes on much longer we will need to get the jump leads out.

Given our dire need for investment on the pitch, any potential buyer would only be damaging their investment by leaving it too late.

I would expect there is a 4 week window for bidders, then 4 weeks for the sale. That brings us up to early July. If nothing is in place over the next 2-3 weeks then Lerner has to decide whether to invest or risk relegation.

Personally, I don't think any sale is going to happen anytime soon.

I wonder if London Boy has any more news for us?

Seriously, if Lambert starts to bring in players, does this mean that there is no buyer and that it's business as usual?  One couldn't really blame Randy for not wanting to spend his money. A bit like taxing a car your gonna sell?

Am I alone in definitely not being able to enjoy the World Cup whilst our beloved club is in a state of limbo?

Even England actually winning it wouldn't shake my emotional paralysis.

Please sort it out soon Randy.

Thank You!

I am much more concerned about Villa than the world cup in fairness.

Even Blues have found a buyer now.

Their holding company have suspended shares pending a price affecting announcement, widely reporting to be the announcement of their preferred bidder of 5.

"Price affecting", maybe it's annoucement of bankruptcy ;). Hey, one can always dream :D.

I've said that I expect us to have new owners by end of june or by end of world cup latest, and I'm gonna stand by that.

I would worry if Lambert appoints two new coaches as that would suggest he's here for awhile.
Bloody depressing Monday, raining ,kept off here for a bit and the only new news is the Noses have got a buyer, might go to Burton tonight as the England U19's are playing Scotland,Callum Robinson is playing and it's only 3 quid.

1 BAML has an Investment Banking Business and selling Companies is exactly what they do.
2 Most Due Diligence is performed electronically via a Dealer Room, a physical inspection via 3rd parties for Valuation Purposes is normal.
3 The Legal Process takes from agreement between 8 and 12 weeks to complete.

There is nothing to get excited about yet.
