Now why on earth would we believe The Sun?

Six months is about what it took for Liverpool and I think it's likely we will be bought by an American consortium.

Now why on earth would we believe The Sun?

A lot of people will believe anything in the absence of any definite information. Myself, I treat it like my horoscope - almost definitely bollocks, but I tend to read it and worry anyway.

You mean like:
Starting in March, the Nodes of Fate will move into your stars right before your birthday, preparing you for a new cycle focused on the ever-elusive balance between 'self' and 'other'. You may feel you are still shedding old aspects of your personality that no longer serve you or your partnerships -- but the payoff is so worth it. You're a true romantic at heart, ever in search of a truly beautiful and harmonious partnership, and this year just might be the year you get to truly live and experience this like never before. Speaking of love, another major bonus arrives just in time for summer when lucky Jupiter moves into your sector of romance and pleasure for a year.

I'm terrified of Jupiter, quite frankly.

It's all very confusing. All threads  to do with Club/Manager/owners look similar. So to help us here we could with merging these 4 topics into a "Mega worry Thread"!
The Current Lack of a Takeover
Current state of affairs
The Paul Lambert
Fans worried about the future

The big red spot, I can understand that.
Freaks me out as well.
I just lie down and drink tea, it passes.

More info: The Sun's Charlie Wyett claims there will be no takeover in the near future. Lerner's statement was released after a potential sale fell through, and we're looking at six months min.

Another guy on Twitter, called Sporting Genius, has waded into the conversation I've seen and reckons the deal was with Larry Ellison, and it was pulled after Lerner tinkered with the deal. Lambert wasn't too impressed to say the least, hence his demeanour at the mo.

It's probably bulltwit, especially from the non-journo, but interesting speculation.

I just love Bulltwit when it is so badly made up. So this guy is arguing that an owner who has always tried to protect and give to the club is going to didle around when selling to the 5th richest bloke in the world. I somehow doubt it very much.

It's interesting all of these people that from nowhere have emerged to have information about the sale of the club. Not one quote or real detail to back things up, and this bloke even knows that Randy tinkered with a deal with Ellison, a name pulled out of a bag of billionaires. It's completely laughable really. The one thing I will take a stab at is that when the deal is pretty much done nobody will have seen it coming.

Can we close this down until after the World Cup. If no buyer by then I will begin to worry.

Don't you find it spills down your cheeks and chin when you do that though?

At this rate, for Aston Villa, read Leeds United.

I agree, Randy has always played his cards close to his chest so it is extremely unlikely that much will be leaked from his side prior to any deal being done. Similarly, I think he would demand the same from any potential buyer. So I treat anyone claiming any insider knowledge with a fair degree of skepticism.

The fact that Lambert is carrying on suggests that there is nothing happening in the immediate future. Given those circumstances and the fact we are clearly not going to have much of a transfer kitty this summer that is the best option for the club.

What time does Londonboy tend to post? I'm not sure whether to crack on  with some work or wait to see what he has to say.
