Morning geezers,

Some on here need to relax a little.

Buying a football club is a massive job full of potential hurdles, obstacles and road blocks.

Things don't always go smoothly.

Just settle down. Good times round the corner.

Well thank fuck for that.

I read somewhere yesterday that Cowans had told somebody the transfer budget last season was only 10m and its even less now. Obviously this could be here say but I think its pretty obvious that he's desperate to get out and other than the absolute day to day bare minimum he's not putting anything else in, gambling everything on selling in the next 6-9 months whilst we are  still a PL club . Makes perfect sense when you think about the ineptness of most of Randy's business decisions regarding villa over many months

I saw that reference. Isn't the fact that we spent in the region of  £17m  a counter to that though?

He hasn't pumped his money in the last 12 months, I'm led to believe that last season we will post a profit.

He has, though.

He wrote off another £90m of loans as recently as January this year. I doubt we'll be anywhere near posting a profit this year, and even if we are, it won't be anything like the amount of money he's written off.

See, I don't get this, why do we owe him money? It's his club, 100%, if he wanted to spend £100m on Nicky Shorey, Marlon Harewood and Emile Heskey without questioning it then more fool him.

We will be posting a profit for 2013/14.

Because lending us the money is the easiest way to get money in to the club and have it on the books in case, at some point in the future, someone wants to buy the club.

There's a difference legally between his money and the club's money.

We spent £10m ish on Okore and Kozak. Must have got Bacuna, Steer, Luna, Tonev and Helenius for nothing.

Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me how people believe anything what people says in internet, "I talked with so and so" or "so and so wrote this". There are so many wind ups and assholes in internet that I hardly believe anything people says in forums and facebook.

I hope realises and I'm sure he does that this sale is a very delicate balancing act. If he doesn't have any potential buyers on the horizon, which looks likely, then he can't afford for us to be relegated or it'll be a lot tougher to sell. He needs to put enough money into the club to keep us in the league.

I'm struggling to understand our finances.

I understand that Randy authorises player expenditure but why does it have to stop just because he is selling up?  Are we that piss poor financially that after a generation of Sky money and gates that are in excess of 35000 every home game that we haven't generated any excess money to have any transfer budget unless Randy personally opens his wallet?
