There's no harm in getting ITK stuff wrong, but if you make such a great song and dance about it, don't be surprised if you get the piss ripped out of you.

And as for that "troll" stuff, blimey, that doesn't sound to me like the stuff of a "friendly site". Given the way Admin's (don't you all feel a bit daft going on about Ian like that, as if he's a headteacher or something?) tips are turning out, you're going to need a bigger pen to keep them all in pretty soon.

For me whats really "funny" is watching how utterly petrified and straight up jealous some of the other forums..(including the one you came from aka H&V) have acted towards this site even though it's still in it's infancy  Laughing . I mean go on both of the two "main" forums and you'll see "tbar this, tbar that"..why so obsessed? if it's as big a "joke" as some of you believe it to be why talk about it and go out of your way to sign up?  Rolling Eyes the bottom line is those forums can't handle being outshined..and that's what's causing members from each forum to be negative and want to throw stones if someone here posts something that doesn't come to pass.

I mean you go on about "defending Admin"...but is he the only man to get something wrong? on H&V they've got a bloke named "londonboy" posting "itk" which hasn't come off...on Vt they've got a guy called "mendi" posting all sorts of rubbish and now some of them clowns are bowing to the feet of some poster named "kwan" who claims he works at the "bank of america" and knows who the buyer is...so before people start judging this place they need to look in the mirror.

In closing i want to appeal to the sensible members here and say that we must not let other forum's envy ruin this place...yes there's been some setbacks but we've got a good thing going here and long may it continue....people aren't talking about this forum 24/7 for nothing.

It also didn't help that they used the ITK about the takeover to announce themselves on the scene and got a lot of people signing up because of that. So it is no surprise that people think they have been duped. In fact that very warning was mentioned early on these pages so we are more ITK.

ITK does funny things to people. An acquaintance who works for Sky News turns into a completely different person when he's been talking to his 'Sky Sources' (usually the photographer for 'The Sun' who talks to all of us). He starts marching round like Robocop, issuing instructions in a loud voice and parking his Land Rover on the pavement.

I would hope that if and when we do get taken over, the people involved are professional enough that the first any of us hear about it is when it's all signed and sealed.
Not sure I'd want anyone incapable of doing a deal without keeping it entirely under wraps.

I live in the bay area. I saw Ellison at lunch today near the Oracle campus with what looked like Mark Watson (San Jose coach) , now here is the interesting thing Lerners jet also flew in to SFO this afternoon. Possibly lining up a bloke Larry knows and trusts as coach as the deal takes final shape?
