He has always been very very keen to show how much he loves it at Villa. To post dancing bananas as if it is great news is both idiotic and completely inappropriate. The consequences could be really bad if the takeover that TBAR announced weeks ago to those guys they named doesn't happen quickly. We will have zero football leadership. No one self respecting will take it without a new owner in place to speak to. Worrying times IF it is true.

As Ozzjim says it's fairly distasteful and also they're stupid because if he's gone and there are no new owners it's a pretty bad sign.

well ticker tape on TBAR now reads Ding Dong Lambert's gone so who knows
They have a ticker tape? Well I bet eastie is loving that little extra.

Anyway to celebrate that in that way is really quite sad. He sad he e has done his best under extreme circumstances. I like quite a few and maybe some of their own readers might actually be sad he has gone.

Guys I'm not on tbar, I couldn't care about tbar, the main reason I come on here and that's a lot more lately is not just because of my undeniable love for Legion but also this is the only grounded realism forum around. However the obsession is going through the roof, seems 80% of posts are tbar related. A don't care about me song is coming along....

Anyway back on topic, does anyone who's more of a betting man understand why Moyes has gone 10/1 to odds on and even suspended on a few sites? I have the odd flutter and had PL at 8/1 before he joined.

If rumours are true I'm happy only from a football reason in that it got to the point that we need change in my opinion. But just like McLeish he's a good man who at the end of the day wasn't good enough. To celebrate as if we just sold Hodge is not warranted at all. I'm not overly concerned about the leadership void given the time of year but like all concerned would not want the situation to last for too long.

I don't think people are celebrating ; after all, at this moment in time, it's just a rumour. But let's be honest, the real story would be if Paul Lambert stayed, not that he had gone, after presiding over the season just passed.

Most if the talk is about TBAR is down to them "announcing" stuff like our new owners or Lambert's demise. It's hardly surprising, really.

I find the rejoicing over a stressed man being (potentially) sacked a bit distasteful

It's not as if he's bad mouthed us etc, whatever you think of his performance

Don't expect to hear anything from London Boy today. He'll be far too busy on the streets of Islington celebrating plucky Arsenal's extra time win over the mighty Hull City. To bother coming on here and trying to wind us up.

14.30 on Monday is being suggested which coincides with the opening of the NYSE.

Only just seen this.

The only way that timing could be relevant is if a takeover involves a company listed on the NYSE.  Otherwise it's not a factor and / or bovine excrement.

It also coincides with my arrival in The White Horse for my first pint of the day.
