You may mock but has anyone actually seen Alex McLeish since he was 'sacked'?

Admin has resurfaced on TBAR. The 2 Paul's are being paid off, apparently. Just passing it on.

And it's taking 2 days to tell them this?

I find it best to fly employees out to my overseas pad, wine & dine them and then give them the ol' heave ho. Makes a sacking that more tolerable

I don't find it entirely unbelievable. He clearly had a close relationship with both of them. Whether this latest rumour is true or not if a new comes in it would have happened anyway.

So its a "no lose" for an "ITK." Whenever it happens you can claim credit - just say "it was all agreed then but not announced until the new ownership went through."

Which has pretty much been the basis of all of their ITK. TBAR essentially have positioned themselves as "ahead of the curve". We can all do that by guessing what is or might be happening.

As regards attendances I have been in Villa Park with over 60,000 officially through the turnstiles and probably half as many again over the turnstiles and up the drainpipes into the Holte to watch a Villa team that struggled to beat Grimsby and Huddersfield. I think many of you would be surprised at the numbers a winning Villa side can pull in. Build it and they will come (if you are winning).

True but I've been at villa park with 22000 people to watch us go top of the league with a 5-1 mauling of boro

Unfortunately villa fans just don't tend to turn up in the way that clubs like Newcastle do. Nt a criticism - I rarely go myself nowadays. But it's fairly well evidenced

Well just had a look on TBAR to see what they reckon but they seem to be having a bit of 'spat' amongst themselves...

Also sorry for the FORUMS DRAMA but:

How long until the papers come out with "Sources say..." and then a story about the Paul's getting the arse?

We know the papers watch this place like hawks so I'll say....3 hours.

His delusions of grandeur are pretty funny, but then again, with the state of modern football journalism.....

It wouldnt be that strange for them to be discussing a severance package. Given that Randy has had getting the costs down as a strategy for the last two seasons and is now able to get a sale and the price he wants, I would imagine that Lambert and Faulkner may well have a bonus to negotiate before the sale goes through and all 3 depart Villa Park.

It seems odd to me that Randy is forgoing the 70 odd million in TV revenue. Or it could be that now's the time to sell as the value of the club reflects this new income.

It's probably good not to forget that the other clubs get the TV revenue as well, so our relative situation hasn't changed at all.

I've got mixed feelings about them to be honest. Half the time it feels like horseshit and as you say stating the obvious but some things admin does appear to get right. Either way, I don't really care as long as we get some investment soon.
