Yesterday I read that Bayern Munich, as champions, got £30m from the Bundesliga television deal last year, whereas Cardiff City, 20th in the Premier League, picked up £62m from their share of our deal.

Athletico Madrid possible European and Spanish Champions are because of the poor/unfair TV deal going to be stripped of players by Real and Barca and the likes of Citeh, Chelsea and PSG.

Mind you as are Southampton here... The TV money makes no odds to the Oil Clubs.

It's more marked now due to the sums involved but it was always the way, the rich clubs have always hoovered up the best talent from the less well off clubs. For some clubs it is their whole business model, develop talent and sell at a profit. It just makes it so difficult to break the stranglehold, any smart investors will be well aware of that which is why it might not be as easy to sell us as some suggest.

Southampton, however, are a bad example as they have been living above their means and are quite heavily in debt.

It's utterly ludicrous that you can earn that much money for being gash. Where else in sport do you get that well rewarded for being inept? That is why Randy will sell Aston Villa. Like I said he might not get everything back that put in but he'll get a decent old chunk.

Are they? I thought they were owned by some rich Swiss lady, so is it one of those 'lend to yourself debts' like Randy does/did.

The deal is £5.5 bn over three seasons isnt it.  That averages out at £275m per club - obviously not including the weightings.  it is truly astonishing.

They have new owners.

There was an article a few weeks ago (possibly BBC website), still owe millions in outstanding transfer fees plus £30m due for the new training ground.

All that usually happens with bigger TV deals is transfer fees increase accordingly and players expect higher wages. It's gone up incrementally throughout the PL era but little has changed for the majority.

Admin has resurfaced on TBAR. The 2 Paul's are being paid off, apparently. Just passing it on.

This is something that the two Paul's will be told in half an hour at this meeting?

look I love all that TBAR chat it's so silly, so bad, it's good. And it's no more silly than some of the media bollocks that goes on.

I find it best to fly employees out to my overseas pad, wine & dine them and then give them the ol' heave ho. Makes a sacking that more tolerable

I don't find it entirely unbelievable. He clearly had a close relationship with both of them. Whether this latest rumour is true or not if a new comes in it would have happened anyway.

Perhaps Randy wants to give them a dressing down in front of his desk for failing him, then maybe he'll press the secret button under his desk and activate a trap door plunging them into the pool of sharks beneath.

Or maybe they're discussing next years batch of crap players.

is the shark pool immediately on top of the secret underground car park/bunker?
