I can understand you disagreeing with the notion that Kozak's not good enough. But he's  hardly so obviously good that you need to stop reading when someone say he isn't!

For the record I don't rate him- if he wasn't 6'4" I don't see what he would offer. I appreciate he grabbed a few goals but his overall play has been mediocre and he's hardly proven himself yet.

strange to say that really, as he has only played around 13 games and most of them off the bench....

If you're concentrating on his height then you're as bad as Lambert. Kozak's game isn't about his aerial ability, but his ability find space in the box.

I've said it about Kozak a few times, some strikers are great with their back to goal some aren't.  Benteke works well for us because he's one of the former, he's a genuine target man, not just because of his height or strength but because he's comfortable playing that way.  Kozak isn't really he does get involved and he's not terrible at it but you can tell what he really wants is the ball in front of him around the box, at which point he's a great finisher and has the ability to get a shot away under pressure.  He's basically a more modern version of Bent in that he wants to be in the box as a finisher but he's also willing to put the work in outside the box even if it's not want he wants to be doing.

I like him, I think he'll do really well in the premier league longer term and I firmly believe him and Benteke with a clever player pulling the strings in behind would be a fantastic partnership (look at Liverpool and compare Benteke to Suarez and Kozak to Sturridge, we need a Stirling/Coutinho to buzz around them).

Kozak's clever and finds space well, but has poor mobility and his technique doesn't look great to me. He's great as a squad player - and can contribute goals as we've seen - but as long as Benteke's fit, I can't see a place for Kozak in the team.

Even just 3 signings at the 5 million ish level would keep us up with the injured coming back. I hope Lerner provides it.

Jeez, I think we'll need a lot more than that.

If we plundered the relegated sides and picked-up, say, Leroy Fer and Jordan Mutch, paid £5m to keep Bertrand and took Lescott on a free, we'd immediately be a much better side than last year.

I'd take Redmond off Norwich whilst we're at it.

I would take Medel from Cardiff - great defensive mid player, was superb for Chile against England

Oh and I like Kozak - and he will be a good replacement for Benteke

Kozak reminds me of Peter Withe, an unselfish labourer who always turns up. All we need is a Gary Shaw to profit from his work.
