I think this sums up why so many people are joining TBAR including lots of people who used to post here. Arrogant, condescending put downs for anyone who has a different point of view to the self aggrandising elite. Go back to the start of this thread and many here were ridiculing the whole take-over story as bullshit. Now it's been proven correct attention seems to have been switched to TBAR'S take on the finer details of who our potential new owners will be and when it will happen. Some folks will look pretty silly if Larry Ellison or Phil Anschults is announced over the next couple of weeks. Anyway, I won't be posting here again, which is sad because there are some good people on H&V, so cheerio and all the best.

That is a shame Wombat. But it is hardly arrogant to put down an ITK, who has just signed up, without any credential claiming details of a deal the national media, and well connected people within that that have had a decent inside track on Villa for the last few years, have no clue about and say is way off.

TBAR have embraced this culture but it becomes little more than the old football rumours website with a forum attached, and for all the how chummy and relaxed posts, the cold truth is a huge amount of members are over there due to the very public nature of the ITK claims made. As every, forum choice is completely up to an individual poster, H&V has always had and hopefully will always have a deal of realism and cynicism to it. It prevents people getting wrongly excited and guards against there being threads of 80 pages plus of recriminations and questioning of information.

As for it being correct, grand. Well done. Although the media reported us being for sale in Feb this year, a while before TBAR, and beyond that nothing has been correct. The continual claims re Culverhouse and Karsa were even factually incorrect at the time. The new owners I would have donned my hat too would have Davis and Simpson, the people the much vaunted Admin named to huge fanfare over there as officially our new owners, with a welcome mat and full twitter countdown. Anschultz is being peddled by a troll on TBAR who even the more sensible mods are clearly sceptical of and Ellison is mainly driven by twitter. Since that twitter announcement, there has been nothing but a massive amount of backtracking and a lot of people gettting annoyed. Ask someone liek Chris J what it is like to moderate a board that has allowed so much ITK in the first place. It creates a nightmare when it turns out to not be true. There are some really great people posting on TBAR, and forum choice is all yours, but I am really struggling to see why anyone will look silly.

So apart from being over the moon about us having a very rich new ownership, and being excited about the playing side for the first time in ages, I am not really sure anyone, on either side apart from a couple with an over inflated self worth will care who's poster put the dots together and got the right name first. I could post a list of 500 billionaires and claim it if it comes to be one of them!
