It's stateside so stop dreaming of Arabs with oil money.

New posters claiming this sort of ITK usually sets off my internal bullshit warning klaxon, and this time is no different.
LichfieldLad told me it's Arabs for sure but you didn't hear it from me, Roight?

I think the phrase here is 'nobody knows anything'.  If highly paid journos haven't a sniff of what's going on, then nobody sitting at home on their BBC Micro will be any more the wiser, so let's wait until something appears from the club, yes?

regarding the price Randy is asking for, it is not a lot of money for someone looking to own a team in arguably the most watch sports league in the world. When you look at how much US sports teams change hands for, 200m or around $350m is not a major obstacle to a person or group looking to broaden their own reach.

I'm more inclined to believe somebody from London who has kindly joined the site to provide us with the latest than anybody else to be honest.

I no longer know who to believe, I had my hopes raised for a new kitten.

My thoughts too, we need a "Haven't a fucking clue" option added to the poll.

What is the name of the Saudi Prince who is rumoured to be a Villa fan (was shown around BMH a couple of years ago)?
Mohammed.

In which case I'm sure he'll be looking to make a quick prophet out of any deal to buy us.

Sorry.

I'd like to think RL has it all in hand, that he's merely tying up a few loose ends and that six week turnaround time mentioned is accurate.

But then I think about:

-the farce of interviewing about 25 managers (including some real numpties) after O'Neill flounced out

-Faulkner writing a beautifully handwritten letter to David Whelan, asking permission to speak to Roberto Martinez the following year
before even ascertaining whether Martinez would actually want the job

-Appointing Alex McLeish

Particularly the last one.  If they can do that, they can do anything.

He is a big whale (gambler) and is looked after in Vegas by one of our guys at The Wynn and a few weeks back he mailed xxxx  to say that Jimmy Haslem had told him, he had been offered to buy the Villans for $280million and was thinking it over but thought it was overpriced.  He won $6million that weekend, so has a few pounds to spend.  His Dad Jimmy snr, purchased The Browns from Mr Learner for over $1 billion (the press say $600 million but it wasn’t) two years ago.

Had this referring to Jimmy Haslem and can tell you absolutely no truth in it , yet this is how things start and suddenly it's 100 percent cosher ! But it's crap !

Is that the pitch for the opening of a film?
