Now now lads, anyway these people wanting to buy villa should look across the city and see a right bargain in my great club that carry s the name of this fantastic city, they could pick us up for £23 million,no debt like villa, premiership fixture and fittings already in place and the only club with a bit of silverware lately around here...they could treble there money in 3 years with only a little investment, you know it makes sense..
It will be a long long time before you have a premiership fixture,

By the time they get into the Premiership there'll probably be another division above it.

Kendrick just been on TS and his analysis of the statement was it read like a goodbye and a deal is imminent ?

Lambert flying to the states to meet potential new owners this week? Can't see why he'd be going to see Lerner, surely Lerner has to stick with him and 'pass him on' so to speak?

And you'll get a 16 page pullout in your local newspaper every time you avoid relegation.

Maybe he is going to discuss some kind of bonus he might be due.

Evidently it doesn't take a new owner or new manager to unite the fans.  It just takes a Bluenose pinhead.

Good statement from Lerner, at least we can now look forward to a summer of long overdue change at Villa Park.

Biggest club in the UK's second city, Solid 40k fanbase with a crap team, relatively close to the Watford gap and the planned high speed rail linking London and Brum. A proper and proud history. Good youth structure but in need of review. We are a more attractive proposition than Man City were a few years back.

Just hope whoever buys us put people who know what they are doing on the board and in charge of the first team. We cant be another vanity project/white elephant for an absentee landlord. Someone like Nicola Cortese in as next chairman is critical and we will start to turn the good ship Villa around again.

Would prefer if Lambert and his motley crew left now. The only fit players worth keeping are Guzan, Westwood, Delph, Bacuna. Benteke, Kozak, Nzogbia and Okore are injured anyway. Not too bothered if the others set up moves for themselves during the instability.

Forbes reckon Lerner could get $340 million for Villa. That's about £200 million isn't it?

Lambert is going to America because, like the shunammite, he's wondering what the fuck Randy was on about.

The other thing about the statement, after I finally got round to reading it, can you push your fate past its limit?

The ever reliable Patrick Murphy saiid earlier that they are wanting to do the deal within 6 weeks.  It would make sense as that is the start of the transfer window
