I have some itk.  A consortium lead by Brian Richardson and Michael Neville.  Don't shoot the messenger.

the £130-£150m offer above is ludicrous when you consider the investment he has laid out on top of the original purchase price of £64m.  I'd say he would be looking at more like £200m.  No way will we be ever bought by rich people.  It's Villa we are talking about, it will be a consortium consisting of Brian Richardson,  the Bhatti Brothers, William Dugdale's nephew and Atholl Still.  With Mike Neville installed to replace Faulkner.

Told ya.  Ok I was wrong about the Bhatti Brothers.

The Laughing Like An Idiot When You Do Something Shit Award: Gabby Agbonlahor.

I know he's far from our worse player, but I do think that a new regime coming in and shaking things up would gain credibility instantly by ditching Gabby. He's quite clearly untouchable, cruising along and producing the goods once every ten games.

He's the poster boy for our acceptance of lower expectations and standards.

It's as if his selection is an emotional decision rather than an intelligent one. That old chair in the corner serves no purpose, the springs are gone and the legs are beginning to give, but it's been in the family for yonks and we can't bring ourselves to chuck it on the bonfire.

--------Guzan---------
?      Vlaar  Okore.  ?

?     Delph.   ?       Nzogbia

       Benteke.   ?

The rest can go. (Kids aside eg Grealish robbo)
This.

Just what has N'Zogbia done that Westwood hasn't?
It's known as the player injured syndrome  effect. This is where the perceived rating of the player goes up proportionally to the length of time he has been out of action. The PIS effect lasts approximately two games post players return to action.

Nzogbia did well end of last season, thought he looked class.
I'd agree on Okore though, saw little of him so too early to say .

He's a bit like a footballing version of Snobs.

Has just always been "there", would be nobody's first choice, but produces the goods about once every 10 uses, and nobody wants to see the wrecking ball go through it for once and for all.

I think that's a valid point (for example, though he looked promising before we bought him, we didn't get enough time to form an opinion before he was injured, yet Okore is apparently the new Paolo Maldini to listen to some), but even what N'Zogbia has actually delivered so far in a Villa shirt would be better than some of the abject shitness we've seen this season.

Would he, for example, have failed to deliver more than Tonev? I doubt it.

Still, it doesn't really matter, because as soon as he's fit, our genius owners and management team will have him spending the remaining years on his contract picking up litter on the road outside BMH rather than actually contributing anything.

Surely the middle one is Bakers to lose, and Fab only one the latter because Charles has been injured all season.

The award for "Attempting to kick and place a ball from in front of the Holte End into a dedicated segment to win a suit from Burtons or flights to Turkey but failing miserably every frigging match" goes to...

Gabby. Rubs off on people.
