can we actually stay on topic and have some respect for victims of all the atrocities so dismissively mentioned above? Revenge fucked ?? get a grip. Deeply offensive

Fair play, if any dead foxes from the 1940s, or their families, have been offended then I for one personally apologise.

This thread is funny, serious, weird, intelligent and at times totally surreal. And for those reasons I for one am hoping Randy delays the statement 'til the end of next season.
Who cares how well the team is doing when we've got a thread like this to play in.

We are a dancing bear in a circus, tired of being shackled and humiliated by clowns and mountebanks, apparently broken by years of callous abuse but secretly strong, silently nursing a wild, hidden, pent up fire in its mighty limbs, awaiting only a chance to throw off its rusty chains and run amok and bite Tim Sherwood's gilet to pieces

Hang on to your seats

If it is an American isn't there a chance that the news will break Sunday night on their sports channels?

Now we haven't got to worry about the points permutations from forthcoming matches we have to displace our anxiety into fretting about the takeover. It's the Villa way.

At least nobody spelled hamster with a p. I hate that.

I can't believe you hate hampsters. What the fuck have they ever done for you?

If Hampsters are residents of the Hamptons in the US of A, then they might be in for a doings if we are to believe James Kunstler of Clusterfucck Nation:

Quote
I continue to wonder how it will all go down this summer in the Hamptons where, like Versailles in 1789, the elite mega-wealthy of today cavort shamelessly in a semi-private fantasy-land of status vamping for the Vanity Fair shutterbugs. The Hamptons are not defensible — unless you count privet hedge as an effective fortification. Any bloody-minded gang of unemployed, grievance-maddened mudlarks can creepy-crawl down the Sunrise Highway to Gin Lane with firearms bought at the WalMart (and modified to full-automatic in the garage).  What if hundreds — thousands! — of them get the same idea? Louis XVI and his homeys probably never thought the mobs would scale the ha-has of his fabulous estate, either.

No I agree. We should light a candle to all of the hamsters, foxes and skunks. May they Rest in Peace

If the hampster died in 1945, it is a mere skellington now.

Collymore has posted this "Fellow Villa fans, my understanding of the ownership situation is that Mr Lerner will announce he will look to sell to the right owner but there is NO prospective owner in the pipeline. Worrying times. A vacuum."

We shall see I guess but I wouldn't be surprised if he was right.

Collymore knows no more than any of us he was posting the other day Larry Ellison was at the game when there was  absolutely no truth in it . Randy's right hand man and the Manager who only a few months ago were talking about a new contract with are both in the dark FACT ! . When the decision was made on McLeish it was made the day after the Bolton game but they kept their councel between 2 people now it's down to 1 person Lerner !However I would not be surprised at all if all Lerner was going to say was he was inviting offers and go back to his original statement in 2006 that if he couldn't move it forward blah blah would move aside for someone else . If we think there are people queing up to pay 200 million then I just can't see it .
Everybody within the club seems to have heard a rumour but nobody really known anything other than RL . Ian Taylor would know more than Collymore and I spoke with him on Saturday he has heard the same rumours but nothing at all that's concrete were his words to me !

Glenn Peen said there was no buyer lined up from day one - he said it would just be Lerner saying in a statement that he wants to sell. Glenn Peen is always right.

Chinese proverb say: "When times is tough, turn to Peen for truth and touching."

Chinese proverb right. Glenn Peen right.
