I'm not sure he does it knowingly. I've worked with many people with social barriers and he strikes me as someone who has difficulties. I'm not going to say anymore on a public forum as I don't think it's fair.

I await Damon's torch and pitchfork

What continues to amaze me is that wherever he goes he retains a group of apologists looking to defend him and his behaviour. Everything said about him is because he brought upon those comments by his nonsense. It happened here. It's happening there. At some point his defenders will realise it's eastie, a late 40's man that is the problem.

How very naive/ignorant/misguided (whichever is applicable) I don't think it's as straightforward as that. Maybe some have more empathy than others. Fook knows.

It's never black and white

I've got my own theory too but like you said it would be unfair to discuss it on a public forum.

I find the treatment of Eastie a little distasteful. I don't know him personally, so I won't say too much on a public forum. I would say sometimes things are always what they appear to be.

TBH, I think some of it was what you picked up on over there. On a specific page about the Takeover, he has mostly posted giving off all these hints about what was going to happen as if he knew, then when you asked him if he did know anything, he was all defensive and saying it was all guesses. It was quite valid what you asked. Especially with the founding fathers bit as well. Anyone viewing that site, especially because of the original leaks would think he was ITK.

Personally I only had a few issues with Eastie. One was when he posted a PM on the live forum. The other was his annoying habit of replying to people on the live forum referring to their real name, and asking them about their kids and naming them. Now this isn't facebook, this is an open forum. If the person is using a pseudonym, they might not want others to know their name or their childrens names.

However, if the thing about spamming people by PM inviting them to leave this forum to join TBAR as "it is better" is true, I can understand the anger from the Mods on here.

Stand by for an announcement...

I'm glad eastie has gone purely because he was forever starting and continuing quotathons which was a pain in the arse when you're looking on a phone and wanting to scroll past his posts.

Speaking as somebody who doesn't have a learning disability, and is just a twat, I much prefer the public bickering to talking about football, which is boring.

I get why he may not be everyone's cup of tea and give. What I read maybe a ban was fair. Sometimes you have to stop and ask is this person meaning to be this way or is there a reason. Maybe some people are just c**ks I don't believe he is. I'm not a defender, just see it a different way. He's doesn't bother me. There are far more deserving cases haha!!

Haha!! Very good. I'd rather bicker on a site I post on though as opposed to one I don't. Far more effective :)

To be honest if we get bought out by someone who wants to bankroll Villa to the top and has Villa's best interests at heart, then Admin can claim 'I told you so' all he wants.

Putting aside the PM call to boost TBAR trade, Eastie was/is harmless and entertaining in a similar  Villa Kicks type way mate. As a previous poster said, it's just football. Can't beat a bit of inter site bants. Sorry, banter.

Oh no! In real life I'm collegiate, polite and non-confrontational - it does me good to have a go at the div kids from a safe distance.

Eastie/TBAR update; he did threaten to take his jumper(s) and ball(s) back as I posted earlier, but, following placatory posts from one or two previously antagonistic posters (on the point under debate, i.e. the potential takeover), he is now back in the fold. I'm glad, because I like Eastie.

I'm glad too, because he won't be posting his over-familiar tripe and interminable platitudes on here.

Exactly ;-)

Considering youve been obsessed with him for a good while now, are you sure you wouldn't be happier over at TBAR, where you could carry on talking about him directly rather than behind his back

Let's stop all this now. It's not as though he's doing any harm over there.
