I was one of the 'antagonistic' posters. Much a do about nothing and very Eastie. He's harmless.

As sites go it's alright. I don't buy into this "you're either with us or against us" coming from a number of sites. Post here, post there, doesn't really matter does it?!

I'm not an intolerant person, but anyone who wonders aloud 'why can't we all just get along?' should ideally be burned at the stake.

Ah cute. I'm not suggesting "we all just get along" just not make ourselves look "bitter, jealous, petty and small minded"

Burn away. I'll provide the match and the stake.

I'm sure there's no need for that.

I say burn him. He's providing the match and the stake, we've got nothin to lose, might make us feel better? Could do it on the pitch after the lap of dishonour.

Eastie/TBAR update; he did threaten to take his jumper(s) and ball(s) back as I posted earlier, but, following placatory posts from one or two previously antagonistic posters (on the point under debate, i.e. the potential takeover), he is now back in the fold. I'm glad, because I like Eastie.

Well done to all concerned on TBAR for keeping eastie in the fold. Wouldn't want him straying and giving us minute by minute updates on the movement of hot air over here.

I'm glad too, because he won't be posting his over-familiar tripe and interminable platitudes on here.

Have you got an ITK on him Percy?

Yes, but I'm not announcing it until I have it confirmed by at least two independent, reliable sources.

you mean Morgan Freeman/Admin right? And then he'll retract whatever it was half an hour later.

No offence, Perce, but I'll believe it only when i hear it from Admin.

I honestly think you're taking it a bit too seriously. Or maybe you're assuming we are taking it more seriously than we really are.

Most of the founding fathers over there, I'm glad they're there and not here any more. There's a reason most of them were banned. I'll be honest and admit I'm glad eastie is there and not here, because, as Percy mentioned, his constant nonsense and platitude posting was a bit irritating.

Ultimately, though, I've never met any of them in real life, and like is often the case when you meet people you've only "known" via the internet, they're probably really nice in real life (well, most of them). Everyone is free to post and chat where they want, of course, that's all pretty obvious, and i am sure they're enjoying themselves, which is what it's all about for all of us.

So if we go on about them and take the piss out of Admin and his disciples, or if we occasionally go on about VillaSquawk and the red text moderators, or Fear's hideous banterfest, you need to bear in mind that it's just to amuse ourselves.

I can only speak for myself, but I can say that what people might or might not be saying on this or any other forum doesn't count for one tenth of one single percent of the real stuff I worry about in life.

I suspect almost all the other posters on here would have the same opinion, it's just football, which is trivial enough, and at a more granular level, it is just a football forum which only a few hundred people care about.

If you're concerned that we should all be banding together under one banner to wrest control of the club from our benevolent American overlords gone wrong, then that's just not going to happen in any form other than the Trust, and even that is going to be of only limited use.

Basically, it's just a bit of fun, don't analyse it all too much.

It will be funny if Admin is right all along. I will expect a 400-odd combined message quote-a-thon of all his mockers comments on here follewed by a Morgan Freeman " in your face, heroes and villains" Meme.

The original thread over there when admin/morgan freeman broke the news by telling everyone to wait for 5 minutes, then says he's clearing his throat before announcing our new owners as Ray Davis and Bob Simpson is comedy gold, especially when eastie was chirping in every so often with 'enjoy the sunny afternoon everyone'.

Cheers for the therapy session. I'm not taking it seriously. Hence me providing matches and petrol for my own burning. I think some of it's in jest and others bits less so. I don't care that much.

I find the treatment of Eastie a little distasteful. I don't know him personally, so I won't say too much on a public forum. I would say sometimes things are always what they appear to be.

I find it a tad amusing that ALL sites berate each other yet proclaim not to post on the other, whilst clearly frantically reading everything.

So I'll stop over analysing and you can carry on with the burning. Incidentally I wonder whether posts like that would get ignored if it were other posters it were aimed at?

Not sure why youve brought up stuff about the trust and wrestling control of the club? Over analysing (smilie face)

If we get bought out, they'll claim they were right all along.

If we don't get bought out, they'll still claim that they were right all along and that Randy/Faulkner/Dave Woodhall must've ruined the deal by asking for too much money.

I don't think saying "sorry, we were mistaken" is very likely, someone who has a picture of God as their avatar probably isn't the most humble.

Unless it's a picture of Paul McGrath, that's ok.

If eastie comes across as an easy target, then that's because he brings it on himself.

What continues to amaze me is that wherever he goes he retains a group of apologists looking to defend him and his behaviour. Everything said about him is because he brought upon those comments by his nonsense. It happened here. It's happening there. At some point his defenders will realise it's eastie, a late 40's man that is the problem.
