The reason I like this place is because irrespective of differences on personality and opinion you can be yourself and say what you need to say. Does that make you enemies on occasion, for sure. I find TBAR very fake and false and built on sand. The whole premise of loving each other because of this new found independence cannot be maintained. Especially when you consider one of the binders being their members and supposed ITK's. When those myths are shattered as ultimately they have been then new members who might have joined for that reason aren't going to hang around. What will be left are those disenchanted with other places. It forms a very unique club and one where they won't tolerate views and perspectives different from theirs. That's their achilles heel.

You mean just like the "inner clique" on this forum?

Utter rubbish. We welcome differences of opinion, reasoned debate and do not censor or delete posts simply because they are not in agreement.

Re. Inner cliques

I thought i saw a deleted post tonight re. " my dad was a referee "

I'm sure it was meant as a joke.

Maybe i imagined it ?

Offensive posts can be deleted on request. Do you have a problem with that?

I saw weird stuff in that place last night.
Weird, strange, sick,
twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff.
And I want in.

If you looked closer rather than trying to score a cheap point you'd see that it wasn't deleted at all, and the person who posted it edited their own post. So yes, you imagined it.

The greatest trick the Inner Clique ever pulled was convincing the world it didn't exist. And like that, poof.

I have been on TBAR, it seems ok so I will most likely continue to check in on it most days and post as and when I feel the urge; much like I do on here. No reason why the sites can't coexist if all involved can avoid petty sniping and insults.

Regarding people who claim ITK, I have no reason to disbelieve people who say they have been given information but may I be the first to officially claim DKS (don't know shit) status. I have no media contacts and don't know anyone who works at the club.
Anyone else want to join me in this privileged position?

Yep.  Bloke I work with reckons he knows an ITK type who has told him that our consortium of new American owners will be at the game Saturday and Jurgen Klinsmann will be appointed our new manager after the World Cup!!

The Klinsmann one is pretty popular at the moment.

How many times have we had mysterious buyers just waiting to instil Klinsmann or someone of his ilk as manager?

Odd that it's always Klinsmann, I think. I wonder what makes him so appealing to rumour-inventors.

I'm pretty sure Klinsmann was linked pre-MON too. From what I see and read he seems to enjoy the California air and lifestyle in the US. Plus aside from his name as a player, I don't know what he's capable of as a club manager. That and a lot of the achievements of that WC run for Germany have been credited to Low's tactical nous moreso than Klinsmann.

They've heard of him and he's in America.

He has indeed showed no desire to swap the sunny climes of SoCal for admittedly drizzlier B6.

I also agree completely on the latter point. He likes all the right things - passing football, bringing through young players - and was a brilliant figurehead for the home World Cup, but actual tactical implementation was really Loew's area, and he's continued to show this. Not that Klinsmann's necessarily useless, but he's not as good as Loew.

True. I suppose out of him and Tom Hanks they thought he was more likely.
