Ah, now if you cover Emma Stone in Marzipan....

Then we could eat our cake and have it.

Do people still eat marzipan? It's hideous stuff.

For all the things the Germans got right, they got it terribly, terribly wrong with marzipan. The Devil's smegma.

When they offer each other biscuits, they're not really going to actually share biscuits. That's what unnerves me.

There are no biscuits. No shared biscuits. But they pretend that they are actually sharing the biscuits.

I don't even like biscuits. I don't see the appeal of them. Easily the most boring of the "bad" foods.

I very rarely bother with biscuits but me, the wife and kids usually get a couple of the tin assortments from aunts and uncles for Christmas and I enjoy digging in then. Although, apart from my son who likes bourbons, the rest of us tend to lose interest when the chocolate options have all gone. Have we ever had a 'Things you only have at Christmas' thread?

Before anyone corrects me, I don't class bourbon as proper chocolate. And my wife agrees with me, which doesn't happen very often.

Marzipan is revolting stuff, as is the icing sugar on top of it and the fruitcake beneath it.

Basically, wedding cakes and Xmas cakes are awlful.

I always thought they put marzipan on cakes so people didn't take too big a slice or too many slices as it is a pain trying to remove the marzipan to make the cake edible.

I've just had some orange and pineapple marzipan from Lubeck, the home of marzipan. It was amazing.

Yep, when looking at the things where you can say that the Germans were misguided Marzipan is always the first thing that springs to mind.

Let's hope there's something in this takeover story because the club is clearly in decline and one of these days it'll end in relegation.
Lerner out!
